"Search For Tel": This will give the Dot Tel domain a big, big boost, if you: Add the slogan "Search for Tel", with a brief explanation about .Tel (saying, that it is a online business card, etc.) to: --> your email signature --> your Dot Tel domain (header, and keywords) --> your main website (.com, co.uk, .net, org, .us, etc) Result: People using Google Search, Yahoo Search, or other search engines, will find .Tel pages. Create website "search-for-tel.com", offering contests for winning prizes, etc. By promoting "search-for-tel.com", the domain name will be a promotion slogan, on its self. Example: If the number of found .Tel domains, is like 3% of the total of registered .Tel domains, then this promo effort should be able to bring it up to about 15%. And from there, in the next two years, to 20% till 30%, and so on. A promo thing, such as the Treasure Hunt, could only e successful, on a site, like the "search-for-tel.com", where it would reach mainstream surfers. If 300 of the existing 540 forum members add the slogan "Search For Tel" to their domain, with a brief explanation on a "Note", than they wold be doing very much, for boosting the Dot Tel domain. What should they get, for adding the slogan?: A free Dot Tel domain, from the registry. Which is only a fair solution, IMO, and the cheapest promo, that the registry ever did (300 x £10 = £3000). Please think about it, if you want to think ".Tel Success". I do not only invite the registry to react and respond to this post / thread, but I also expect the registry to do so. This would show us, that Dot Tel owners and the Dot Tel registry are working together and cooperating, making consolidated efforts, to make .Tel a success. Cheers. |
