did you kick off any backup/restore? the error is because the system thinks you've been making many updates and is attempting to throttle your requests. I don't believe it should happen when using the standard cth though unless you do something quite intensive like a backup or restore. Simple fix is to relax, have a beer then come back and it should all be working again |

Hi Aled - has something changed on the throttling thresholds? I'm noticing today my requests are being throttled a little more aggresively then usual. Could you please take a look and advise if something has changed? |

yes - since this morning. same script was running yesterday and I didn't notice any excessive trottling but today it seems to be throttling every few requests. |
to be more specific - every 4th to 6th request is getting throttled. |
Is anybody experiencing "Restore" through CTH (name.com)? It stops at approx 2.8MB. (Getting error code on top of CTH in red "Upload failed. Please try again later"). Also tried import_data function in API. Same problem. Only small files sizes (220K/300K etc) going through both CTH and API. This is NOT throttling. Looks like something else. Have been trying since yesterday. Our system/internet connections work alright for large file upload to other services (not related to .tel). Any thoughts please? Thank you in advance. ++++ |
only time I've seen this was when attempting to restore from a very very large file. didn't manage to resolve and instead used my excel based source system to repopulate the domain. I'd try sending the file to Aled first and see if he can restore it. |
I think Aled said 5meg was the upload limit, so must be something else |
@dottel.net & @boracay.tel - Thanks for the feed back. In fact the largest file I tried was only 4.8MB. Still failed on both via CTH and via API. File contains 1600 identical folders of short Title, short Header and one NAPTR. This is a Testing of a project. So asking Aled to upload it for me is not going to help me at all. Trying to establish what could be the cause for this. ++++ |

Telnic confirmed just now that they managed to restore the file (4534KB - 1600 folders) I sent using the CTH. We are now investigating any issue with uploading from this end, as suggested by Telnic. We had no issues in uploading files (as heavy as 1GB) today to other projects not related to .tel. However, we will still continue our own investigations. Cheers! |

Andrew, You need to contact Name.com to request that they complete the setup in your account with them for this .tel by activating the zone. |
