    PM Wordcount needed

    Hi

Just got through replying to a PM but what was really frustrating was the apparent lack of a word count.

Got my message all typed out, tried to send it and told it was to long..............

So I had to do it all over again and again............

Thanks for feedback. The maximum number of characters per private message is 1000 characters. I'll tinker with vBulletin to see if the a counter can be added. For now, I've added a new clause to the Rules thread about this.

Can we have one for forum posts as well please, it seems to only inform you when you reach the 5000 mark upon trying to post.

    Faced same issue:)
What I have done is sent it as two PMs and sometimes had to delete the [Quotes]

it would be great if Telnic increases the limits.[/size]

A dynamic character counter would also help in the Control Panel so that you can see when you are getting near the limit as you type.

Right now I type a masterpiece and hit "Save" only to find out that it's twice the legal limit! Then I paste it into MS Word and use the character count feature to whittle the size back down.
