Is it possible to prioritize video embedding? Obsolescent |

Obviously I was working on this one behind the scenes ! www.TELmercial.tel ;) |
Jumping out to a .com to see anything is NO solution. The ball is in Telnic's court to allow Borderless and Embedded Video in a .TEL The TELmercial is simply showing an example of what SHOULD be on a .TEL The TELmercial is also for those who want more than a YouTube Video. AT&T's offering in Yellow Pages - http://adsolutions.att.com/advertisi...eo-profile-ads If a Professional wants a professional Video Ad - Borderless or Embedded - We can help ! IN or ON a .TEL without the .com is the whole point that we're lobbying for ! Click to Play, not Click to Go Away and Play ! |
I support the idea of being able to play a video, music within .tel (without leaving .tel)....huge advantage. Please telnic....why don't you give it a try? May be you could the option to the user accessing it from his mobile to view it with Rich content or Light Content. (not too sure about the wording but the principle should be like rich text format or plain text) Please Telnic...it is a very powerful features. Thanks for listening |

Simply put: .TEL should be the "BEST CARD" in the "BEST CARD CATALOG" that is TelPages ( Not Facebook or Yellow Pages as is ) Give Individuals and Businesses the ablility to have the "Best Face" in the "Best Book" for its "Category", and you have a winner with .TEL and TelPages. We will go from the "least valuable" to begin with, to the "most valuable" in the end ! As least valuable, we need to sell the "Card" with up-to-date features. Later, these features will only be an asset when the "most valuable" comes from behind the scenes to lead them all. ( Tractor vs. Trailer ) |
Should how YP looks at video impact .tel development? Mark |

This is impressive - and no need to click to watch each video (just rollover with the mouse) - then Click To Call. Of course if we were able to have a "blank text" box, where we could insert our own code, there would be no need for Telnic to do any work on "embedded videos" - we would just simply copy and paste the code supplied by the ad provider. A fill-in-the-blanks text box will never happen. What needs to happen is vetted scripting just like Google Adsense where Telnic has control over format. This applies to affiliate ad scripts, not just video embedding. Mark |

You're probably right Mark. It's just that with many .tel features still outstanding from the planned June 2011 completion I can see video embedding (if accepted by Telnic as desirable) disappearing into the very far future. Mind you, there's nothing to stop anyone producing their own proxy that reads Telnic's Open DNS, along the lines of http://dnsales.tel-4.com, and embedding whatever content they want including videos. Allowing a 468x60 video bar or 250x250 video to display using the Image Ad interface should be a very easy update. Instead of Image source allow Image or Video source, enough for Flash or HTML5  |

Perhaps not, but the way that consumers look at business definitely should. These guys know the deal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cWavP...er_profilepage Telnic should consider video for the popular "look at me" factor people want on both sides, businesses and consumers. ;) |

Google Adsense currently plays 250x250 FLASH image ads on .TEL May I ask Telnic for the same courtesy with the image ad interface ? Currently it doesn't appear to have the ability to play Flash Ads like Google does. Am I wrong ? Thanks. |

Hey Mark Kolb, You're the image ad integration expert, can you address this too ? Thanks ! :) |
I believe Google uses the same script for video (rich media) so we don't get to see what the actual code looks like when the video is rendered. I seem to recall they embed it as a hidden iframe (not sure though). So basically any rendering like that requires Telnic to support iframes. Mark |

That's exactly what I was thinking, embedded iframe. How about it Telnic, may we have the same as Google ? Thanks ! :) |
