    .tel transfers

    Hi Guys

Wondered if any of you may be able to help with this question.

I have just renewed 95% my .tels for another year.

I decided to transfer some I had regged with 123-reg over to domain monster where all my others are and make the most of the discounts.

However after making payment and saving a good few quid to complete the transfer I need to click on an e-mail which is ment to be sent to my admin e-mail and then enter the auth code which is not a problem.

The problem is that no e-mails have been sent to my admin e-mail for these domains for me to click and complete the transfer.

I have e-mailed domain monster but just wondered if any of you guys have already done this and know how long it takes to receive the e-mails.

    Many Thanks

    Gav

    Hi Gav

    Same problem here!

When I started buying .Tels I made the mistake of buying them from the people that I have bought Web Space from in the past, as up until then I had never heard of domainmonster who's customer service is absolutely flawless!

Fortunately I did not buy too many from this Firm who I'd rather not name but I not only had to pay a renewal of an extra year (which seems to be fairly general so fair enough) but I then had to pay ANOTHER £10 Administration Fee for them to release it!

With lots of hoops to jump through on the way!

It can take anything from 24hrs to 7days to Transfer it to the new Server but like you I had a big problem getting them to send the email with the Authorization Code to enable the transfer to domainmonster.

What you have to be careful of is that the Transfer Window (Time Limit) on who ever you are transferring to does not close before you get the email with the release code or your Transfer could fail and in my case that could have cost me about ANOTHER £8 admin fee!

I was ringing them up twice a day every day and would not leave them alone, until I got a commitment that they would send me the code in 24hrs so I would have a comeback if the transfer window closed.

They eventually sent this on the last working day but this was sailing far too close to the wind for my liking.

I only wish that I had read the small print and had known how good and helpful domainmonster actually are! and IMHO They are the best!

    Hi teltheworld

Many thanks for your response, this will certainly help me be aware of maybe things to come.

I will certainly keep an eye out for the e-mail and as mentioned in last post have made domainmonster aware of the situation.

I certainly agree with you about domainmonster in regards of quick response ect, it really is A1.

    Thanks again for your advice

    Gav
