Here's an easy way to create a Property ad...

...uses the new template effectively with the background image containing a view of the whole property and the image gallery providing lots of pictures.

Video could be added if required for even more effect.

Mike, where did you find this? This shows that any background can be used..

    teltheworld04-14-2012 09:11 AM

    Telnic: What about this.

How about a facility to collapse all the information (except for the Title) so you can View the Big Picture in the Background?

Then hit the button to bring the whole lot up again.

Is that suggestion good enough for an ipad?

This property is located 25 miles from us at Llandudno north Wales. This is the first .tel that I have seen that is local to us. The email and web link go to local estate agents, looking at the Whois for this domain it seems that it's our forum moderater Aled.

@Aled great looking listing and lovely house, looks like this is the way forward for selling property. Would be great if rightmove started to use this style of listing.

Means every house for sale/lease/rent needs to buy a .tel domain.
    How about selling puppies?

Google Analytics exist , but never see on new templates Adsense .

    Hi TelTheWorld,

Funnily enough I was thinking exactly the same thing this morning before I logged on to check the latest - nothing from Telnic / Telnames unfortunately !

The property ad at http://ffynnonlas.tel shows just how effective the new template is for "Product" ads - and that's even without a video on the page.

But when you use the background image as a full screen picture of the product you need to be able to collapse the data display, so all you see is the background image - particularly if you were trying to sell something like a car.

So a Minimise / Maximise button would do the trick - should take no more than a couple of hours to code and test - maybe a day max if you test on every physical device and browser you have in stock.

Telnames, any chance of this being done before the 17 May show ?

This is a simple change that increases the usability of the new template for "Product" sales.

Sort of mod I like doing - minimum coding - maximum benefit !

This search http://www.google.com/search?q=%22po...elnames.com%22 usually does the trick !

Of course I would far rather Kash made a statement on behalf of Telnic and Telnames (he is CEO of both) about what is going on !

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)04-14-2012 05:23 PM

Yes a large background image sells. It's all visual first impression. The idea of collapsing the information would be awesome, can do with animated jQuery control. I'd like to see a top image banner too if anyone at Telnames is reading this forum.

Ditto - a 468 x 60 pixel standard banner ad would fit perfectly at the top and/or bottom of the new template.

Not sure if this is within Telnames game plan - but it might help to pacify some forum members who are not happy with the loss of subdomains (if this turns out to be a correct prediction as I believe it will) that is implied by the new template examples seen so far.

At least it would provide a potential revenue stream for .tel owners - as it stands with the new template it appears the only way to generate revenue will be to hire it out or sell the domain.

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)04-14-2012 06:36 PM

Yes if Adsense is not in the cards for Telnames, then at least a banner image at top will suffice for me, but not loss of subdomains.
    Mark

    Blunderer04-14-2012 07:06 PM

So what does the background image look like on a mobile?

    Blunderer04-14-2012 07:14 PM

Also, wouldn't fourbedroomeddetachedhouseinanglesey.tel have been better then fffffffffffffffff.tel?

Of course, if you have registered fourbedroomeddetachedhouseinanglesey.tel, you would be pleased to have sub folders to list other peoples fourbedroomeddetachedhouseinanglesey's once you had sold your own, look you!

    TELcp04-14-2012 07:33 PM

    May look like..
    fourbedroomdetachedhouseforsalemarianglasanglesey. tel
    fourbedroomcountryhouseforsalevalleyanglesey.tel

    fivebedroomdetachedhouseforsalemarianglasanglesey. tel
    fivebedroomcountryhouseforsalevalleyanglesey.tel

OR similar. - Great idea indeed.

    TELcp04-14-2012 07:45 PM

When selling a doberman pincer puppy, the best would be something like..

    fivemontholddobermanpinscherpuppyforsalenorthshiel dstyneandwear.tel
    fiveandhalmontholddobermanpincerpuppyforsalesouths hieldstyneandwear.tel

Then easier for the search engines to index.

    Blunderer04-14-2012 10:02 PM

Sorry, it's sold. I've got one left in Sheveningen - not house trained.

    TELcp04-15-2012 04:59 AM

    Then you may consider...

    anotherfivemontholddobermanpinscherpuppyforsalesch eveningenthenetherlands.tel

    OR

    anotherfivemontholddobermanpinscherpuppyforsalenot housetrainedscheveningenthenetherlands.tel

Just give me another month or little longer, I'll let you know how to sell a doberman pinscher if you live in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch, Wales

    A better example is www.gsg.tel
I think my friend prepared this as an example for a real estate agents
He owns a bunch of real estate domains and is planning to market it to them
