    We all know how Telnic has bypassed its Registrars and created the more desirable single-page template shown by YourBusiness.tel only for sale via it's 100% owned subsidiary Telnames.

    Not only that, but all major marketing and promotion in recent years (television ads, videos, radio interviews, business exhibitions) has been for the Telnames single-page template rather than the original Telnic multi-page subdomain templates.

    BUT all that appears changed (unless there has been the most almighty ****-up) with the redesigned Telnic.org web site just launched !

    Look at home page http://telnic.org and also page http://telnic.org/what-is-a-tel then play the video which is sourced from YouTube

    IT CLEARLY SHOWS TELNIC IS OFFERING CUSTOMERS, VIA ITS REGISTRARS, A .TEL IN TELNAMES YOURBUSINESS.TEL SINGLE-PAGE FORMAT !

    Currently it's still not possible to create the Telnames design with a Telnic domain.

    However, this won't be enough motivation for customers to buy a .tel. Much more improvement would be needed to turn the tide!

    Waste of time. Still cannot add meaningful content. Looks stupid on anything bigger than a mobile phone.

    I have spoken to several UK-based Telnic Registrars today and none of them were aware that the Telnic.org web site is now showing the .tel format to potential customers as the Telnames .Tel Format - which has never been available from Telnic's Registrars - only via Telnic's 100% owned subsidiary company Telnames.

    SO THE MANUFACTURER OF A PRODUCT (TELNIC) IS SAYING "THIS IS WHAT YOU GET WITH A .TEL" BUT THE RETAILERS (TELNIC'S REGISTRARS) WILL BE SUPPLYING CUSTOMERS WITH A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PRODUCT !

    THIS IS MORALLY WRONG - AND I BELIEVE ACCORDING TO TRADING STANDARDS LAW IN THE UK - ILLEGAL !

    FYI that's the mobile template of the standard multi registrar template, not a telnames template. There are two templates for basic tel domains, one for mobile and one for anything bigger, http://www.mobilephoneemulator.com/ check your tels for yourself then you can see if you view on pc you get the basic template, and if you view on old mobile you get that nice purple one that is nothing to do with telnames.

    Fustachio is right.
    Telnic doesn't advertise the Telnames template.
    Telnic is using the promotional material from Telnames, but is still displaying the old Telnic template.
    Telnic has only modified the Telnames video and is using it for the Telnic template, too.
    Hence there is no big change in sight!

    That's not the case (see my previous comment).
    It's just an comprehensible misunderstanding, because the websites Telnic.org and Telnames.com look very similar since yesterday.

    The biggest difference between Telnic and Telnames is that Telnames domains have no subdomains. That's not a big deal.
    None of these two versions are saleable in the current stage, because both offer no option to add real content!

    OK if true but THAT DOES NOT EXCUSE TOTALLY MISLEADING ADVERTISING BY TELNIC !

    Anyone new to .tel who goes to Telnic's Home page http://telnic.org or to the "What is a .tel" page http://www.telnic.org/what-is-a-tel will see very clearly the domain name YourBusiness.tel being used as the definitive example of what you get FROM TELNIC'S REGISTRARS when you purchase a .tel domain.

    Most users will be on a laptop/desktop when viewing http://telnic.org or http://www.telnic.org/what-is-a-tel and when they key in the example domain name shown of YourBusiness.tel to get a better look at what they assume they are buying they will see a totally misleading display of a Telnames .tel on their laptop/desktop !

    IT'S MISLEADING  TO .TEL NEWBIES AND MAY CAUSE CUSTOMER RELATION PROBLEMS FOR TELNIC'S REGISTRARS - SO WHY DO IT ?

    That is indeed misleading - and will cause irritations if people are buying a .tel from Telnic and are expecting the template from Telnames.
