.sx new domain landrush

.sx country code top-level domain (ccTLD) from a tiny island in the Caribbean "Sint Maarten" or "Saint-Martin" as you prefer.

The domain will be availabe for everybody from 15th November 2012. Price 29,99 € (DomainMonster).

Ah DomainMonster again riding out a new TLD to be the first to grab all the cash while it's price is high, just like before wanting to get the most registrations and then do nothing with it.

I hate DomainMonster after they did that with dot tel and didn't do any development with a proxy.

We should ban "mentioning" their name perhaps put them on the auto word change list, after what they did they don't deserve any publicity or recommendations from us.

For me no problem, I will never mention again that Company based in Godalming. :-)

Is there any reason for me to register a .sx if I'm not located in Sint Maarten or I'm not working in the travel industry?

Maybe SX = SEX?

I think there are no reasons for registering domains in this extention for any private person from abroad. May be the reasons to get domain and create websites there exist only to goverment services of Saint-Martin.

Evidently registrars believe in SX and think of selling enough. There are many registrars that offer it.

And evidently they hope in an alternate use as SeX in place of the XXX, without ICANN regulations and a lower price.
