As mentioned on this forum before we know already what Telnic was thinking, because there are several reasons for the existence of Telnames:
- Telnic want the registrars to develop .tel, because Telnic don't want to be bothered with software development. Telnic shows the registrars how to do it with Telnames. If Telnic would provide the same quality as Telnames, there would be no reason to improve the templates anymore.
- Telnic was bothered with customer requests in the past. They are tired of discussions, so they have just shut down the service for Telnic.
- The Telnic company can be sold, but the same people can still earn money with Telnames.
- Telnic want to earn higher revenues with domain sales by Telnames (£14.95 instead of only $8).
- .tel was supposed to become a global established product. Telnic thought with this background they can do what they want.
- Nobody in the past has ever founded two companies for the same product. Telnic thought they are smart by trying something new.
- Telnic noticed their early failure. They wanted a fresh start without disrepute and they operating under a different name now.
- Telnic thought they could operate Telnames without customers from Telnic noticing.
Sad as it is there are no honorable reasons to identify.
And Telnic still sticks to this strategy, because there are no signs for reactivating any activities at Telnic.
But Telnic is very good in preventing successful business activities, because all customer suggestions have been always ignored since long.
