The use of the DNS behind .tel is really one of the greatest inventions I've ever heard about.
Unfortunately Telnic either don't know how to sell the product or don't have the willingness to install the right arrangements.
The question is how shrewd marketers and well connected consultants can be invited by Telnic to give the help which would bring the awareness to .tel which is needed?
Mike mentioned many times some consultants: http://rightofthedot.com
I'm convinced many more helpful assistants are out there who could show Telnic the right direction.
How the motivation can be brought to Telnic to make .tel the next big thing?

Telnic need to start activities for bringing .tel to a big audience.
With Telnames they have started only a small project to reduce declining registration numbers.
Instead a big project for INCREASING registration numbers should be initiated!
.tel is made for replacing telecommunication services. That would promise a big success.
But Telnic is providing with Telnames only a small solution for hosting services. This is not the main purpose of .tel!!!

TELNIC SHOULD START THINKING ABOUT THE REAL POTENTIAL OF .TEL !!!

YES - these 2 guys could bring a worldwide audience to .tel - whether they have the time now, given the demand for their services with 1000+ new gTLDs about to be launched, who knows unless Kash asks them ?

Another obvious approach is to get 1000+ established web sites worldwide immediately promoting .tel - that would be the case if just 1% of the 100,000+ affiliates with CJ.com and TradeDoubler.com signed-up.

Of course Telnames have decided to go-it-alone without using these established affiliate portals - but how many affiliates have they actually managed to sign-up that are actively promoting .tel from heavily-trafficked web sites ?

There's plenty of other ways that .tel could be promoted to "Joe Public" on a worldwide basis - no point in listing them again as the ideas have been posted on Telnic and TelTalk forums many times before by myself and several others !
