The easy way to get your business online ?

I was watching TV (in the UK) last night and this very impressive ad came on for the
1 and 1 Website Builder - see http://website.1and1.co.uk

Costing "from £9.99/month" for the business version (there is also a personal version), including a domain name, this is quite affordable for a small UK business.

If I was an internet newbie I would be very tempted to take up their FREE TRIAL offer - has anyone on this forum got experience of http://website.1and1.co.uk and if so what do you think of it as a solution for small businesses ?

They have no chance to beat the fastest growing service for mobile websites in the world with 2 up to 30 (!) new customers every day, because as we all know from Telnames customers don’t want to display anything else than 20 contacts on their websites. All additional extras are just too overwhelming and can’t be handled by the human brain.

Here in Italy the price is € 9.99/month. Slightly less expensive.

With these templates is very easy to build a simple website in less than half an hour. And edit, update and enrich the site over time.

The price is a very obvious plus for .tel in comparison.
It would be fantastic to get a full website for only $10 per year (not per month) easy to manage.
Telnic could provide this to all customers with three little steps (picture management, flexible text implementation and Telnames design for Telnic).
The effort is low, but the result would be amazing.
We only have to wait for Telnic to make the right decision.
Then the success story for .tel can start!

In a biggеst Russian domainers' forum the registаr 1&1.cоm (I do not know about 1&1.cо.uk) has not a good rеputation. May be evеn the wоrst from all knоwn rеgistrars. I would havе any dеals with thеm.

We all know this won't happen. Telnic wants Telnames to become a success and doesn't support Telnic customers anymore.

2. Automatic inclusion in a real-time TEL GLOBAL DIRECTORY (updated every time the user data is updated in the DNS).

3. Other directories to automatically access the user data held in the .tel DNS whenever contact information is required by them.

Item 1) has already been achieved - the problem is getting third parties to want to generate items 2), 3) and 4) - which is why CRITICAL MASS IS ESSENTIAL - even if it means giving away for FREE the next "N" million .tel domains registered !

As I always try to offer constructive suggestions to solving problems that have been identified, here's what I would do if I was running Telnic/Telnames - please feel free to adopt all the ideas listed below !

Less than 10 euros per year? It can be done!

Just buying a domain (3-7 €).

Setting up a site on Weebly for free using the purchased domain.

Total annual cost: 3-7 €.

Working with templates is easy, and can be amusing. And the instructions for the setup of an own domain in Weebly are clearly explained.

COM domain from Dynadot_com costs now $9.99.

At the beginnig I used hosting at natahost_ru, minimal cost of which now is from $ 5.52 (limited traffic- 500 МБ/month ) to $11.92 (unlimited traffic).

Add $2 for setting WordPress. Of course, support there is in Russian language.

So, the total price for a site with unlimited traffic: $9.99 + $11.92 + $2 = $23.91

P.S.
Some time ago Dynadot_com was offering hosting with Wordpress included for $24 /year. They called this "Rapid Blog". Total cost was $9.99 + $24 = $33.99/year with English support.

It is not very difficult to learn WordPress. One-two weeks is enough to learn the bacics.
