    Registrations are falling dramatically.
Nothing can be heard from Telnic since years.
    Nobody cares about TEL improvements.
Meanwhile a limited TEL version far away from market requirements gets promoted with Telnames by Telnic. (Telnic tries to hide the involvement in this project.)

How can Telnic expect anybody to buy a TEL?
When will we see the basic TEL version for free to gain attraction?
When a proper design will be developed?
When Telnic will understand that a domain needs more information on it than only phone numbers to succeed?
Is Telnic really convinced doing the right thing while the whole world is thinking otherwise?

Welcome to the forum Creation X.

Not really that much forum readers can dispute in your post - a statement of the desperate situation Telnic has allowed .tel to get in.

Things will change in 2016 when the money runs out (assuming the combined losses of Telnic Ltd. and Telnames Ltd. continue at the current rate) - though whether for better or worse remains to be seen.

Myself and so many others (many of whom have now given up on the .tel project) have tried to help over the last 2 or 3 years with constructive suggestions, but just about everything we have suggested has been ignored.

Nothing more to add - except it's a real shame that such a GOOD IDEA (Data in the DNS providing innovative services) was let down by such BAD IMPLEMENTATION.

    GOOD NIGHT TO TEL !

There are registrations in the whois.tel that have been prepaid for 10 years as I have noticed occasionally.

People who register .tels now know that .tel won't have any benefit the next years, but it can't get worse than it is now.
Hence the only .tel strategy can be buying a .tel now and hoping for better times in 10 years.

For those who agree with Tim's strategy here's your opportunity to pick up some premium .tels right now !
