    1. Telnames Partner Network:

    Claim:
As part of your signing up to own your new .tel website we will automatically pass your business details to our data partner who will in turn, once details are verified, distribute your 'business listing information' across multiple partner sites and channels.

    http://www.telnames.com/tpn-faq/
    Reality:

No Telname is to be known to appear on the TPN.
    More info: http://www.teltalk.org/t1162p8-telnames-partner-network-introduced#8437

    2. Call Measurement Study:

    Claim:
43 per cent of .tel profile page views resulted in phone calls to local merchant directory advertisers

    http://blog.telnames.com/mobile-ready-website-leader-telnames-shows-power-of-its-product-in-major-call-measurement-study/
    Reality:

This is just impossible and a bold lie!
The average click rate on websites is between 0.1% and 0.25%: http://www.marketingjournalblog.com/2013/01/what-is-average-click-through-rate-ctr.html
How Telnames wants to accomplish 43% in comparison?
Only 5% were already world record!
In addition I expect the number of global visitors on every Telnames is close to 0 views. No exception is known until today.

    3. Customer Testimonials:

    Claim:
My Telname was very quick and easy to setup and great value. It has brought in many new customers.

    http://www.telnames.com/
    http://www.telnames.com/testimonials-with-videos/
    Reality:

Please provide evidence that some Telnames have any traffic at all.
No Telname can be found for keywords that are used in searches on a monthly base.

Telnic has my sympathy. The sales continue to run bad. This situation leads to a company trying to draw a better picture than the reality.

Interesting that a reaction from Telnic comes right after my post:
    http://www.teltalk.org/t1404-correspondence-with-telnic-and-following-measures
I want to make it clear that I'm not interested in any kind of defamation.
    I presented only facts.

I would be very interested in a further exploration of the problems.
It can help only a lot if Telnic wouldn't avoid every public discussion since years.

Expert is right. 43% means that almost every second .tel website visitor calls the .the website owner. That can't be true; not even close!

I recommend that Telnames delete this unbelievable story from their website.

If this is the truth, then Telnames would have 10 million registrations today. Such a huge success in performance can't remain hidden, because word of mouth will transport the news about this high achiever quickly!

43 per cent !?! No one has ever achieved this before! The problem is this number has to be real!

Think about it: I need only 10 visitors to get 4 calls! But do you know how difficult it is to involve web users? This can work only if you pay them!

The 12-week study examined the phone calls that were generated from a representative sample of over 1000 .tel business profiles for local businesses in Europe and North America.
Telnames has a very easy job to destroy all doubts:
Please let us know only a few of this 1000 .tel business profiles to verify the numbers.
If only 5 Telnames are public, anyone can form their own opinion.
