    Responsive web design (RWD) is a web design approach aimed at crafting sites to provide an optimal viewing experience—easy reading and navigation with a minimum of resizing, panning, and scrolling—across a wide range of devices (from desktop computer monitors to mobile phones).

    Differences to .tel:

    • No limitations
    • Individuality
    • Flexibility
    • Same design for desktops and mobiles
    • More expensive

    @FrankW - useful info !

    It's not that difficult to code - I've actually done some myself for a site I developed that displays different screens depending on the device type it is being viewed on.

    Telnic/Telnames did publish some coding a while back (sorry don't have the link) which showed how they detect device type before deciding on what format screen to display - it's undoubtedly the way forward and something that .tel will have to compete with from other suppliers.
