How to register a Telnames .tel for 75p per month !

This offers new Telnames registrations for just 75p per month ie. £9.00 per year !

Even Telnames-haters have to admit this is good value, given that it includes the automatic facility of working on all internet-connected devices and of course the domain hosting cost !

Telnames pricing went from £14.95 to £24.95 - see http://www.teltalk.org/t828-telnames-price-hike-from-1495-to-2495 - then down again to £14.95 - now its down to £9.00 until 30 June 2014 (new registrations only).

I wonder if Kash will give some thought to the Price Elasticity Of Demand and make £9.00 per year the permanent retail price for transfers/renewals as well as registrations ?

If he did this AND made Telnames .tels available through Telnic's 133 Registrars maybe this could turn things around ?

It would likely spell the end for the original subdomain .tels, particularly if Telnames undertook to take over the CTH hosting burden from the registrars.

This new inducement by Telnames is a response to the extremely poor registration numbers of Telnames .tels IMO. Why they ever thought a one-page domain offering would work is beyond me. 

If they had the same number of pages as the pro .tels then many people would probably switch and pay the higher price especially if switching was easy IMO.

Why this offer was not made at the get-go is odd but I suspect some legal issues with their registrars in offering existing pro owners the option directly IMO.

So what are they going to do if this offer fails (as it will IMO)? 5 quid, 3 quid? Free? minus 3 quid (ie pay people to own it and make money from other services)?

RTQ4 code saves you 3p (£14.95 less 40% discount = £8.97) over the £9 deal !

Does anyone know if the 50% code PAYPAL is only applicable to PayPal payments, or whether either code can be used for Domain Renewals ?
