    DomainsBot breaking news!

I just read this article and it was impressive:

Daniel Ruzzini Mejia, Co-Founder & CSO, DomainsBot. "The .tel domain is now a significant part of being found on the internet, as it helps potential customers find what they're looking for cheaply and quickly, regardless of the device or application that the person looking for the content is using; we wanted to make it possible for our customers to participate in this next wave of innovation for the Internet."

"DomainsBot, the leading domain name suggestion and search engine company, today announced it will include the innovative, communications-focused .tel names in their domain name search and suggestion tool, used by the majority of the world's best-known Internet domain name retailers including GoDaddy, Tucows and Register.com"

GoDaddy and Tucows... THIS IS HUGE NEWS. Congrats to everyone involved-

Well spotted Aliencafe - yet another piece of good news re .tel !

Justin's comment in the article at http://bit.ly/90Qre1 neatly sums up why every small business owner should consider having their own .tel domain:

    Quote:

In this current age of austerity, small businesses are questioning whether traditional solutions for engaging customers online are still right for them. As a different type of domain name, .tel can provide an affordable online presence and enable businesses to benefit from sharing up-to-date contact information formatted for any device at very low cost.

Thanks Mike- Justin's comment well noted also! One of the really interesting tidbits in this article is this statement by Daniel Ruzzini Mejia, Co-Founder & CSO, DomainsBot:

"we wanted to make it possible for our customers to participate in this next wave of innovation for the Internet."

Participate in the next wave of innovation for the Internet!

This should be noticed by observers everywhere- the DomainsBot co-founder who is in touch with GoDaddy and Tucows on a regular basis, who is deeply involved in the business sees .tel as the next wave?

    Incredibly powerful news..

Hanz and Mike, it certainly is good news! Directly sent a few tweets about DomainsBot and their recognition of .tel as a significant development on the internet. Although steady, momentum is growing.

I predicted something 'large' happening around this timeframe. Is this one of the 'big things' that will shift our focus from lamenting to charging forward?

Ok, all good news and lets hope it sheds further light on this hidden domain,, but lets not blow things out of proportion here,,

The likes of Godaddy know well about .tel existence, and they deliberately chose not to be involoved with it (call any of their customer services staff and mention the word .tel, they'll tell you: SORRY BUT WE'RE NOT INTERESTED),

It is strange as I cannot see what Godaddy will loose by offering .tel (for they offer .asia which is doing worse than .tel so far),, maybe there was a bust up from the start between Telnic & Godaddy that never healed, but guess we'll never know the real reason,,,

this is good news that tel is getting more recognition however this does not
mean that godaddy are going to jump on tel now. Godaddy, upsell there cheap domains with hosting and other such addons which tel circumvents. If tel became popular enough i would imagine they may consider it....
