    to clarify on exact issue so telnic can comment on this... a domain appears on the new reg list if it was missing from yesterdays zone file from telnic. Not sure under what conditions a domain is removed from a zone file and then added back afterwards....

    Yes, I've been wondering about that too. The last couple of days the .tel zone file which is queried daily to dump the stats at dottel.net and telmasters.com has had domains which clearly were not registered the day before. There is no indication as to why they appear.

    Hi all, there could be a number of cases when a .tel domain can be removed and then re-added to the zone file, for example, when the registrar puts the domain on hold or deletes it and subsequently restores it or removes from hold.

    Hi Maxima - That's not how it works....

    To explain - the total count reflects the existing count in the zone file telnic send daily.
    The names dropping today are names actually dropping that were removed from the zone file several weeks ago - NOT entries that were removed today as a name has to go through various stages before actually dropping.
