So why is this form, on Telnic's own site, not pulling the name/company/email/country data directly from the .tel that you specify ?

I do rememer a year or two back Telnic had such a ".tel data imported to form" demo on their site that showed how useful this facility was, saving time and eliminating typing errors.

It's true they should be setting the example for others to follow, and the same goes for telnic including the ability to store other forms of data like resumes etc so that other websites and external services and hardware can and is willing to build on it to pull out that data from the phantom sub domains and pre-set micro format profiles, as well right now being a free to do anything is not setting a global web standard for micro data storage and telephonic data transfer.

When telnic developed .tel it was open for everyone to do anything they wanted and while that fair it's been hard for not just us but business to find whats worth storing in it and getting people to populate it aka other than whats currently basic, what they have done while I love it being open in this case it provides no stability in a web standard because if they truly want to get websites to integrate .tel login and data transfer they need to be more strict about putting in a standard point that has recognized data value to developers, profile micro format standards are and should be how we look at back end storage in order to make a uniformly available to everyone without too much hassle standard so everyone knows what data goes where into it and it's absorbed out uniformly with the least effort.

Eg if we look at the web as a whole it's free to do anything and everything as a website or service but only a select few websites become a global standard, a status that transcends to handsets and other integrated software, regardless of apps services like twitter and facebook are global standards for automated login and data sharing, they drive oath and openid in the public market and developers go where the usage and data value has high market penetration, one of the main problems with fb and twitter is they're not a golden pot at the end of a rainbow like .tel will be, they're a mass of information that requires complex algorithms (time and money) to put value on the data that still has to be reviewed by human eyes.

If telnic want to sort this issue and build on it they need to like you said to start with their own website, and drive out development to become a highly rich source of accurate and up to date data, a pot of gold that developers and hardware manufacturers want to dig into without wasting resources and ultimately money reviewing data for quality and value, as if telnic build on the micro format web standard they will themselves be seen in time as better than facebook for investors who flounce out only due to this lack of quality of data and the fact fb cant compete in the mobile market to get them returns, an integrated .tel micro formated data storage is where .tel sits so they need to get past this idea of being just a contact card as the world needs a stable format of organizing our data too smooth website signups, purchases, day to day activities and job search, especially in this global catastrophic decline of an so called open market recruiters need solid and fast standards to find the right candidate and searchers need solid and fast standards to apply for those jobs.

So if telnic really care about making .tel a standard they have to setup profiles of data that appeal to markets for integration, email is a standard just like how you stated just like how wordpress created or bought up the new web standard for transferring micro avatars when we comment on a website that runs wordpress aka it pulls the icon from a gravatar api & email. Just like .tel does in the control panel it goes both ways but if telnic want to be the standard above and beyond all new websites and challengers and want to be valued they need to stop integrating outside services and reverse this trend of doing nothing of value by giving the market over to a competitor, capture the market don't absorb off the tit of service's who can throw you under a bus and absorbs away your profits.

But I guess to them it's not a priority? they appear to just not care because even telchina didn't fix the clone of the telnic website code and we're in 2012, when will they care to finish it? or have they finished it? been at least a few months since I looked at it, though it's them who should do all data pulls first on their entire site but it must be so far down the list of their priories that they either forget like they didn't remove and maintain their own .tels or fix and complete their subsidiaries websites, or just don't care and are taking the easy route that only declines the usage of .tel as a new global standard.

Yes I do, but why do they have to leave it to just about the last day of the month before publishing ?

What is interesting is that Telnic/Telnames have never given out any explanation to loyal .tellers about the introduction of the Telnames template, at over twice the cost of the standard ones, and the current situation whereby registrars can't offer it but newbies to .tel may see domains such as http://YourBusiness.tel and mistakenly think that's what they get from Name.com, Dynadot, etc.

This should all be in the newsletter - together with details of how they plan to avoid confusing the marketplace with 2 completely different products being marketed as the same, i.e. a .tel domain with inbuilt hosting and CTH updating.

I wonder if they will cover this - it's very important to the acceptance and understanding of what .tel is by the marketplace !

Yes! When thinking back the last three months, there was only one event worth reporting: the introduction of Telnames! There must be some news in the newsletter this month. That will be very interesting to read!!!!!
