    that killer pitch....

hi - what have folks found is best way to get the average joe to understand the value of dot tel and buy one for themselves?

I've seen a lot of posts, ideas, thought it would be good as a community to list them all in one place.

    Here's a starter for ten....
    1. Just show them the ben.tel video
    2. Would you find it useful to have a central place where you can manage all your contact info? You'd only ever need to give anyone one name - that's it

    Good thread, Dottel.

It depends a great deal on who you are speaking to and how they would use .tel, individual for personal use, small business, large corporation etc.

I was speaking to someone recently who'd had to change mobile number and was notifying everyone of their new number - if only they had a .tel there would be no need......

I am going more down the route of letting busineeses know how much they can miss out by not being included into the directory rather that what they can gain.

Everyone hates missing out on something, especially anything new.

Going to start my marketing tomorrow once everything is in place for my direcotory.

This is where the fun starts

    Regards

    Gav

I showed .tel to a middle-aged mum who is far from tech-savvy. After looking at a couple of personal pages to see the kind of info people post, she said, "And people can find me on the Internets by just typing in my first name? And get all this? Wow, that's a great service!"

I tell them to watch the videos on this page I found.

If that doesn't work show them this video I just found. This will catch their interest.
