    Adsense for mobile phones

It would be great if we could use adsense for mobile devices,
we could implement google's pay per call feature.
It is in the plans at all ?

    Good to mention that.

My simple research and a client told me Adsense does not work on a mobile device.

I think that TEL domains, due to their unique features and DNS storage, are not related to Adsense, as that diverts the purpose of TEL domain.

And only TELNIC can decide to implement it for mobile devices.

adsense for mobile phones is different to adsense for websites.

just try viewing ANY website that has adsense on your mobile phone - no adsense ads or if they do somehow display there will be no clickthrough registed

if we want ads to work on your mobile phone then the mobile proxy version would need to be adjusted to use mobile adsense (sorry - its actual name eludes me).

Absolutely, but I guess somebody shall ask TELNIC on that, and I also assume TELNIC is planning that already.

Without confirmation by TELNIC, it remains a mystery.

TEL domain is a mobile domain. I could not really try it out, but I have used some Perl browsers, and I have seen that it spits out different versions, based on the user agent name, such as Nokia.

Only, I have not seen if it uses WAP/WML or not, as that is important feature. Google uses it, and I did not find that TEL uses it too. If not, than it is not truly mobile, but works only on latest mobile devices.

Mobile domain shall have mobile adsense.

Although I don't see why Adsense on TEL at all, unless to satisfy those not understanding the purpose of TEL domains.

I'm amazed that Telnic implemented Adsense in a way that isn't mobile phone friendly.

well the good news is that the pub id should not need to change.

the ad unit obviously will. Also note Google mobile adsense only allows one ad unit on a mobile page.
So the current option of providing two adsense units would need to be a web proxy only thing and the mobile proxy version would only show 1 unit at the top of the screen (assuming telnic implement this of course).

Not this post specifically, but all these web related posts make me think people have at times lost site of Mobile Phone as the target.

A lot of us are guilty of lack of concentration, and in this transitional period have a foot in both camps, I need to constantly remind myself to think mobile.

Good point Undermoose. BTW I have just come across this article about Apple's plans for mobile advertising on iPhones using their new iAd service - link is http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8610610.stm
