Integrate .tel functionallity into android Since android is open source, perhaps it would be possible to contribute to the Android development and make it support .tel by default without the user having to load an app? http://source.android.com/source/index.html |

On the right track, thumbs up! total phone integration. The free directory in your pocket = telpages becoming bigger than other business/personal search services, and everyone else will want and need their name to be found through it's speedy integrated mobile directory search service, that opens and themes the business/personal pages in the phones menu/theme system from clean and small DNS data, and saves the stuff you like, friend people/brands through Telfriends e.t.c. :p = Total win! Exciting stuff![/size] |
Not strictly on the subject of Android, I got an HTC Desire phone a few weeks ago and it will not search much beyond second level folders - it defaults back to it's start-up page. HTC acknowledge the problem but the management apparently don't trust the staff with an outside line to call me and arrange a repair (as requested in an email) and, since they don't answer their phone (an hour and a half wasted so far), I've got a problem but, do all of their Android phones have the same problem as mine? Do you all test your sites on a veriety of phones? I get the impression that the HTC Desire is very similar to the Google phone. |
Getting .tel integrated in the main distribution will probably be quite difficult, but I love the idea. This is one of the many reasons why open source is superior to proprietary! Nice one, spline. |
