Maximka, thank you for your input. This topic has been discussed on this forum and internally in Telnic on a number of occasions. The community’s view on this matter is divided as the .tel logo (and remember, it’s not the Telnic logo) is an important tool for defining the product as a .tel resource and ensuring its consistent presentation on all platforms for all .tel domains. Differentiating .tel from a traditional website is crucial, that’s why some web-driven traffic-heavy features have not been introduced. Think of it as similar to the ‘Intel inside’ branding. Telnic has also provided the option to remove the educational link from the .tel logo that leads back to Telnic.org, to minimize the opportunity for people to move away from .tel owner’s content.

Telnic continues to consider options regarding the services incorporated within the .tel service and to benefit the majority of the .tel community. As discussed and at present, it is important to provide as much awareness of the .tel service and its differentiation as possible, which is why the choice to remove the .tel logo remains absent at present.

Thanks, Jens. Re mainstream - definitely! Re minimising the logo - there will be other templates where it's less prominent, but equally you can never find the perfect size that will suit everybody and still work as a brand asset. In most templates, the logo is on the right, not centre, and can be moved down below the fold by adverts, related content, vouchers, etc.

Leave this logo alone. It's nice and should stay
