Jens, thanks for a continuing stream of ideas Re 1, TelFriends and privacy are undergoing a major change later this year, so we're not focusing on that aspect just yet. Re 2, the import feature for the Quick Setup tool is on its way. It is up to the social network to import .tel data in its profile. It should be rather straight-forward as all profile-relevant data (name, email, web links, etc.) are clearly marked as such in the source of your .tel page using standards like hCard and data portability guidelines.
