smartwatch template

Firstly, i feel .tel should bring its pictures/images/Ads functionality to the CTH.
thats a necessity, its just a shambles without that in the CTH.

next, Smartwatch template.
this should be the minimalistic contact-style template
(Henri, the time is now right for the DNS concept to display minimal data to device)

Get this bit right, and .tel as telephone lookup of the world
(on your watch will be a winner)

if thats true, then its sad news, can you confirm that? (he progressed the product on a number of occasions , tools and apps).
regardless, the smart-watch template NOW is to strike while the iron is hot.
.tel in its applied simple format (and stored in dns)
is this not what it was designed for?

@boracay I don't know anything about the smart watch (iWatch?) but if it has an internet interface I like the idea of having a mini .TEL site template with all important contact info at the push of a button. Sure does make sense Telnic team.

Wouldn't the current mobile template be viewable/usable on a smart watch? Are such devices not designed to allow access to current formats?

boracay.tel09-09-2014 02:12 PM

I've had the pebble for a year or more. It's ugly as, the interface stinks and it does not do web-browsing.
However, some very good apps exist. Such as accessing a GoPro, to start/stop etc, set the resolution on the gopro etc

The point is...
Don't let the moment slip by telnic team. The telnames mobile template looks great on an iPhone... But Some 5 years or more after the iPhone debuted!!!! Geez, you must act quickly to get on board. Henri took years (for .tel) to come around to the iPhone , it was too late!!!

Do a nice dedicated .tel template for whatever apple shows a billion customers tonite.

Blunderer09-09-2014 09:16 PM

Keeping up with new tech makes sense however, I've just had a look at Apples' site and the watch doesn't seem to have a browser so would an app be required and, if so, where would it take you, to Telpages?

Ideally, a means of accessing/storing favourite sites - aled.tel, boracay.tel, martial-arts.tel, etc. and the ability to display use their text and contact records, should be the objective. Would individual apps be required?

Is any of that possible?

boracay.tel09-11-2014 02:26 PM

there will definitely be a search system, and thats where .tel needs to be
i.e. the telephone book for siri to instantly pull and display contact data

guess telnic needs to chat to apple. google is apple enemy and apple is a million tonne freight train

that watch is pretty amazing.
the apps will be flick and twist.
sure there will be a browser that renders html5 (interfaces in that manner web content)

iPhone proxy template will be no good

again, telnames template is very impressive and caters well currently to iPhone
but a new template will be needed for apple-watch
template needs to work with the real estate window
flick, swish, spin, soft touch, hard push, etc

apple released the smart watch KIT already.
be a good time to start to write some template code

screen sizes are needed to work for 2 versions of the watch
if anybody can act on this at telnic, they can read more here...

so we all know what a great opportunity/need this will be for a template...

"Consensus estimates predict sales between 10 and 30 million watches in 2015 but Morgan thinks it’s too conservative. By the time the Watch launches next March, approximately 315 million people will own an iPhone 5 or later. 14% of people who owned a compatible iPhone purchased an iPad within its first year. That same metric would yield 44.1 million unit sales of Apple Watch."

..and thats what Morgan Stanley top analyst is predicting.
