Certainly you have read about SIRI or you are using it already with your iPhone 4S.
Siri (Speech Interpretation and Recognition Interface) is an intelligent personal assistant and knowledge navigator. The application uses a natural language user interface to answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of web services.
If you want to initiate a call with SIRI to somebody who isn't already in the address book of your iPhone, how SIRI should be able to find the intended phone number from a website with the TLD .com (since there can be placed many numbers at numerous places under different subdomains)?
Apple need to find a well organized structure of the targeted source to interact with the cell phone user and the website at the same time!
Only the TLD .tel is offering this possibility!
Only by navigating through the special designed .tel domains, for the person who searches a phone number is a convenient communication with SIRI possible.
This way .tel domains become the first global yellow pages which can be used as the standard user interface.
I don't know any other solution which fits better for this purpose!
