    On both iphone, and ipad, I cannot find the preferences to select the mapping engine? There used to be a choice of google or opemstreetmaps or another?

    The preferences used to be in the "general" control panel but it's gone. Any clues?

    Unfortunately, the mapping engine I was using (before Google Maps was available in the SDK) is not OS 4 compatible yet, and has many problems (bad zooming, etc...).
    So I elected to go with the default Apple-provided Google Maps implementation that works well, at the cost of more options.
