Has Apple banned Google AdSense on iPad?

I remember reading that Apple is not allowing Google AdSense ads on the iPhone now that the Apple iAds program is up and running.

Has this been extended to the hugely successful Apple iPad ?

Using an iPad today (in the UK) I noticed that the 2 AdSense ads on http://MikeSeaton.tel and http://Domains123.tel were simply not there - it wasn't a problem with Google's ad server (which would have left "page cannot be displayed" in the 2 ad spaces) - the area the ads normally go in was just the background colour.

I then checked out my boat search site at http://www.BoatSearchWorldwide.com on the iPad - exactly the same thing - no AdSense ads and the background colour showing which indicated no attempt had been made to call the AdSense javascript file.

I was using the standard Safari browser supplied with the iPad - it just seemed to have been set to ignore the javascript call to "http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js".

Can anyone with access to an iPad please check this out using the supplied Safari browser - Dot Tel and iPad fit well together - it would be a shame if the Dot Tel AdSense ads were no longer being displayed on the iPad.

    Thanks.

Hi Mike, if that's the case (which I'm going to check soon on pills.tel) then .tel will just have to adapt the iAds technology in the future.

I'm going to check it now and get back to you.

    No big deal really.

Open Source Flash to HTML5, Google updates to HTML5, many things to remedy.

    Here's something I found:

    smokescreen.us

The bottom line is this - .TEL and iPad really are a great fit !

Looks like the problem is down to the way UK national chain Currys have their demo iPads set up - see threadhttp://telnic.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1504 - you will need to be logged-in to view this.
