tel image advertising & hosting - planned Hi to All, As a result of feedback received from TELcp users and of course according to requests made by others in this forum, we have developed a system for tel directory owners to maintain a FREE directory service with selected contact details of their choice and ability to allow third parties to upload image advertisements (advertisements only) on page to page basis. Our new system will not have any loading impact on the CTH even if the advertisers decided to change their image advertisements on regular (even many times daily) basis. This system is somewhat similar to the present TELcp system, but technically a different approach. Due to this new approach, we are unable to present the new service within the TELcp OAuth client although we did our testing through the same client using a localhost testing platform. Therefore, we will be applying for a new OAuth today and we plan to launch this service as soon as we get the OAuth (exclusively for this image advertising service) approval from Telnic. Free service upto a limited number of pages will be provided initially with a choice of upgrading to paid services in the future. Enjoy! |
The limited number of pages does not cater to directories that have thousands of subdomains at the first level. Any plans to address this? I cannot get past the letter "a" so your service cannot really be used even for simple client demonstration. Anybody else want to use this but struggling with the first level limit? |

The idea behind our new approach is to allow a tel Owner to provide free contents (free contact details of shops, places of public interest etc) and make the tel domain popular first. Then allow controlled third parties to display image advertisements (call them telbanners or whatever) for a fee. This will encourage tel Owners to populate the telpages and then look for advertisers later on. Cheers! |
Yep all that. I understand. Problem is I'm not getting to demo this tool to ANYBODY other than a.boracay.tel because I have accommodation.boracay.tel (it's got hundreds of listings) chewing up all the free pages you give. So bnb.boracay.tel I cannot even show to them. Anyway. Appreciate your efforts, I would like to use at some stage. Thanks |
update We got the approval for the new OAuth on the 6th of June, Exclusively for the new advertising system. Our thanks to Telnic Dev Team. The new service was to be launched on last Monday. But due to a minor bug, launching was not possible as planned. Now we are compelled to carry out few tests before finalizing the launching date. Stay tuned. Cheers! |
