    embed .tel on website

    I have inquired in the past about anyone's success embedding .tel on their website.
    It would help .tel grow a bit, I believe, if it were possible to easily embed the .tel on other domains as the 'contact us' page.
    After playing around with the webmasters tool again today, I have ended up frustrated at the lack of such after having asked many months now for such a thing.

    Anyone have a 'simple' solution?

    By far the simplest way is in an iFrame. I've used the code

    in http://dialaroomdottel.co.uk

    Just swop dialaroom for your .tel and copy it into your contact web page. For all supported attributes see
    http://www.w3schools.com/TAGS/tag_iframe.asp

    One downside is that most search engines don't index the contents of an iframe I think.

    frames are good if you simply want the content. there are other ways but need some coding.
    the best and most efficient way is to directly query the source (dns) and render the content how you please...

    what problems do you hit when using the samples provided? have you approached telnic regarding this? am sure they would be happy to help...

    Telnic is working to update and improve the "Contact Us" Webmaster tools to offer a hosted solution. You will embed an iframe that queries our service with certain parameters and displays the info on that page. More details to follow when the service becomes available.

    As for examples, telnic.org is one, we use the contact form with time-based profiles to show different contact information depending on the hour.http://telnic.org/contact.html

    I have been trying, I might need to start over from scratch I only get one error, that the domain is not found

    Private TEL Domain Proxy on Sourceforge.Net, in Perl, BETA:
    https://sourceforge.net/projects/teldomainproxy/

    Latest version is not published. But that version which is free and published, can be improved by anyone, changed, whatever. It has basically the same usability level like TELNIC's offered webmaster tools -- basically not really for beginners or website owners. But web site designers and programmers, shall be able to install such tools and improve them as they like.

    @Nadya -- I don't know what kind of IFRAME you will offer. But it is simple embedding on every website any TEL domain by using IFRAME, watch this one out:

    Fury.TEL on our DOMAIN: http://www.teldomaintel.com/files/iframe.html

    But that one jumps out of the website by clicking. Here the code:

    Quote:

    PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
    "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">

    Fury.Tel

    Hello, this is my website

    All our contact information

    [size]
    There is also plugin for Wordpress.Org -- Fury, you might look into that code simply:

    Here is a service for those using Markdown syntax in Content Management System, to embed TEL domains into websites.

    About Markdown: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown

    Tel2Markdown Service
    http://www.teldomaintel.com/cgi-bin/tel2markdown.cgi

    Steps to do:

    1. Enter your domain;
    2. Get Markdown version, save it;
    3. Put Markdown version into your CMS system;

    The Markdown will work for dynamic and static CMS software. Sample HTML output can be shown by checking the box.

    P.S. We certainly use Markdown, all our websites are made with Markdown. Who has time to write articles with HTML.

    This may be off topic. If it is I beg your indulgence!
    But is is possible to embed telpages in a website so that visitors can search telpages without having to leave your site?
    I know we will soon have telpages search in .tel domains.
    It would be a really attractive service to be able to offer visitors to your website and great publicity for .tel too.
