@FrankW - Interesting article -
Responsive Web Design (one web site that adjusts displayed content to the screen size) does seem to be the way forward, rather than having one site for desktop/laptop computers and a seperate one for mobile devices.
Here's a quote from the Domain Name Wire article in the link above:
The need for a separate domain name to host mobile content has passed. Using a separate domain name, such as .mobi, is a really bad idea. Instead, your existing website — which already has search rankings — should be made responsive.
One site, not two.
Kinda puts .Tel into the shade as a "mobile web site" - all that's left therefore for .Tel is as a SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT THAT WORKS SEAMLESSLY ON ALL INTERNET DEVICES - which is where .Tel started out nearly 6 years ago !
Shame about all those wasted .Tel years - which should have been spent producing a .TEL GLOBAL DIRECTORY and doing whatever it takes to encourage Telcos and software developers to develop AUTOMATED DNS SERVICES such as Dial/Email/Skype by Name.
Still I suppose Telnic (or at least what's left of them) know what they are doing ?
