Sorry, Mike! But Nominet has reserved all .uk equivalent domains for the .co.uk owner (or .org.uk etc.). Nobody else than existing owners can register those .uk domains before 2019. There can be no conflict!

Nominet has blocked all .uk equivalent domains. They appear as unavailable for the public.
Today I checked few UK domains at Dynadot and name_com - and they are available for registration (they are shown now in green color). Formerly, as I remember, they were not shown in green. Does it mean that something had changed since that time?

No, you still have to wait until 10th June 2019 before those domains will be available for you or others.
Until then you will get the following message when proceeding with your order:
The rights to this domain are held by: ________.co.uk

That isn't as long as you have to wait until Telnic will start developing .tel!

    Expert, thanks!

It could have sense to be in Internet at 10th June 2019 and to try to pick up something from those UK domains which will be forgotten by their potential rightful owners to register.  ; )

I'm afraid that the real good names are taken then.
