Mr P. Caland has left the board

Does anyone know what exactly his responsibilites were re Telnic Limited  ?

Something must be wrong in a company that has a dozen directors, but nobody working on the distributed product.

I  suspect he put a few bob into the company!! Checking the photo at  http://pierre.tel to confirm that I have searched for the correct P Caland, reveals the following info after a couple of minutes searching on google:-

Pierre Caland was born to a French father, Paul Caland, banker, and a Lebanese mother, Huguette El Khoury, painter, daughter of the pillar of the Lebanese independence Sheikh Beshara El Khoury. With swimming abilities, Pierre Caland participated in the Munich Olympic Games in 1972 representing Lebanon. He currently is a Member of Advisory Board of Scorpion Capital Partners L.P. He founded Arabella S.A. in 1995 and CalFund in 1997. From 1979 through 1983, Pierre Caland worked with JP Morgan as a commercial and investment banker. He is a private investor who has been investing with Mr. Brandolini in small to medium sized businesses in Europe and the United States since 1983 and with Mr. McCarthy since 1993.

He was a director at Telnic from  26/10/2000  to   07/06/2013. Wonder why he decided to jump ship after only 13 years??

After divesting is a possibilty.

In this overview I'm missing many more directors, e.g.:

These directors are only employees, but not members of the management board. The units Customer Service and Business Development consist of only one person in each case. So it's just a title without meaning.

Why does Fabien Chalandon appear twice?

Directors details are extracted from Annual Returns submitted to Companies House. Maybe somewhere is a small technical mistake.

Looking at the number of Directors involved in Telnic does make you question whether there are MORE CHIEFS THAN INDIANS ?

However that's not necessarily a major problem if:

1. You accept that software development by Telnic of their subdomain .tel offering is effectively over.

2. The directors - many of whom are highly experienced in the internet world - use their undoubted influence outside of Telnic to promote the .tel concept.

What I find surprising, if you check the extensive business history of many of Telnic's directors, is that they have not managed to make .tel a household name by now - or have set up any deals with Telcos !

Be interesting to be at Telnic's board meetings and find out first hand what goes on !

Unfortunately we won't get ever information about internal matters, because Telnic keeps silent since years. I wonder if they have regular meetings at all since the development and all other activities stand still since 2011.
