The reason why people register .tel domains – and why they have to drop them again

Inexperienced domainers and end users make searches for unregistered domains at the known providers and find nice domain names for .tel available.
After they registered them, they will be surprised that’s impossible to set up a good looking website with content.
Since no development is in sight, they will drop them after some time of reconsideration.
Telnames
Different than at Telnic it’s clear that no extended content can be inserted into a .tel from Telnames.
Inexperienced domainers and end users will be convinced by the arguments on Telnames.com easily.
After a while they will find out that .tels from Telnames don’t perform well on Google and will drop them because of low traffic, too.

It's up to Telnic to improve the templates, so that those domains don't get dropped again.

Templates mean a bit, but the real reason is obvious to any intelligent person, especially the 7+ Billion that stay away from .tel - No reason to own one.

The reason people have any public display is the desire for traffic.

People spend Billions in advertising and it doesn't matter whether it's a basic listing or an advanced listing, the desireability is traffic.

Text, Images, Sound and Video are all popular methods of display, and they all have their venue - Newspapers, Magazines, Directories, Radio, Television, Internet version or otherwise.

.tel is simply the ability to have a public display - without any real venue, and so it's for those who simply want one, then drop it when they don't, because it NEVER had any real value as a venue, as PROMISED from day one.

Billions of .tel registrations would be active and renewed if the public display had any real traffic value -- it simply doesn't have the Telpages or Telname Directory venue to drive that interest.

Duh.

Currently a .tel registrant has no possibility to put his Telname in front of his customers’ eyes:
1. SEO isn't possible without real content.
2. Telpages isn't a directory.
3. If I want to spend millions of dollars to market my website myself, I surely will choose a little bit more for my website than only for a one site domain from Telnames.

Telpages was supposed to be the first single-source Global venue for a new and advanced Yellow/White Pages style listing.

"World's First Global Telephone Directory" was the advertising.

What a joke, and it doesn't take a genius to understand why registrations are in massive decline after waiting 4+ years with nothing but the "World's First Global Garbage Directory".

The thing that you must have when you buy a .tel is ██████████████████████████████████████████████.
