    This is certainly only small news, but very interesting! Perhaps this is the beginning of the end of always free services on the internet. Google is using its power as monopolist to earn even more money in the future. Its the same with checking accounts: 50 years ago they were introduced as free and after everybody got one, the financial institutions started to charge fees. Perhaps in a few years you also have to pay if you want to get a good position in the Google search results. That would be great for competitors like .tel, because people will start searching for cost effective alternatives, e. g. TelPages.
