    Domain registration

Have any of you folk lost a domain name?

    ntervu04-28-2013 07:27 PM

Not sure what you mean by "lost". Can you be a little more specific?

    Thanks

Shows as registered to me but I'm not sure it should be. Four years of buying, dropping and back ordering addles the brain, so I'm not entirely sure.

Could be occurring at the registrar level. Noticed your name on a few domains yesterday that were actually picked up by others. The registration info was cleaned up within hours. Could be a hiccup in the Registrar's Drop-Catch systems. Have you touched base with the Registrar and checked your CTH accounts?

    Hope that helps.

You're probably right. I have contacted the registry (who I hadn't heard of before), and yes there were a few other instances, which amused me (apoplexy in Aurora?) but because this has taken so long to resolve I thought this thread might prompt people to check.

Yes. I had never heard of some of these sister companies either. But touching base with them should help with cleaning this up.

    Thanks

they're all whitelabelled versions of name.com. probably just some synch issue with the parent site which actually does the catching.

good to see some familiar names on the catches, am keeping a much lower profile this time round

Yes. figured as much. Thanks for chiming in Sunil.
