YouTube, Wordpress and some other icons have been added to the proxy, we will continue improving the graphical set for .tel proxy. Please also be aware that all images for all icons are loaded when a .tel page loads, so infinite numbers of icons will increase traffic usage. |

I´m not really sure how this works so forgive me if this post is irrelevant. Here is my thought. Would it not be possible to load some of these on demand from an external server? This way, pages who dont use them will net get slower loading times. Another possibility could perhaps be to include only a few, the most used and have the rest on a server? Will not the image get cached anyway. So that a link pointing to an image only needs to be read once by the browser? |
@spline The original idea was for .tel to be fast and speedy, and so Telnic went with a one image solution but we're crying out for icons because we don't have that much eye candy lol. We're all being picky but they are cute icons. I don't know much about superbook but apps like that should have the images auto included so they don't need to load from the proxy. And as for anything else I think you're right and I'm sure Telnic will see the best solution might be to chop some up that likely only load on 1 page out of 100 sites. Telnic defaults + I see the extended prob should be split more & contain only 2 pairs or groups and not another full strip, "blog" wordpress/blogger, "video" youtube/veoh e.t.c Anyway we will just have to wait and see. |
