    Aled11-05-2011 05:45 PM

Hello Dutch - we've not removed any directories from Tel Land that I'm aware of. Which .tel was it?
Was it on the Cities or the Food Map? Please note that on the food map there are so many entries some have to be shown on a second page.

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)11-05-2011 07:32 PM

Aled, what drives Tel Land - dynamic, real-time feed from Telpages or a static, manually updated list?
    Mark

Dutch - it was still listed in Google Maps but was failing to show in the Google Map for some reason. I've resubmitted it and it is showing again, Apologies for that.

Mark - it's just a list of manually added sites to Google Maps.

    dutchstreetdog11-06-2011 12:15 PM

    @telnic
Hello i am checking .tel land on my mobile, mobile version!
À few problems with this thing!

I talk about the mobile phone

1 the map is not loading
2 When i push "view telcities" in a larger map, Google maps opens BUT without telcities!
notting to see there, just the global map!

So i would say take away "view tel cities in a larger map" mobile version, because you dont show anything!
    Or tho i need glasses!

    Update
I went back after writting this message "that took mi about 40 minits" and the map is still loading!
I can wait till cristmas but Its not comming!
No No No this thing on telnic.org is not working, as i told you months ago!
And the largere map is not showing notthing! Onley the globe Whitout tel directorys
    TRY IT ON YOUR MOBILE
anyway on my Super iPhone nothing!
    Your site mobile version

    Aled11-07-2011 09:49 AM

Dutch, I have just tried on my iPhone and the map appears both within the page on Telnic.org and on a full Google Map after clicking "view on a larger map".

There is, however, no dedicated mobile version of Telnic.org, so it is possible that some features on there will not be compatible with all handsets.

    dutchstreetdog11-07-2011 10:34 AM

    Goodmorning Aled
    Thx for the respons

Well my wheel is still spinning since yesterday!
I dont understand one thing, when there is no mobile version, why is there a option "view in mobile" ?
Then there must bey somthing, supose to bey compatible on the mobile
What is the diverence between the "mobile" and "classic" ?
And When you check "view telcities in a larger map" is it leaving the site, and opening Google maps WHIT all directorys on it ?!
This seems imposseble to my because Google have no map saved inthere with all dottels
    stored on it!
Sorry for the strange questions, but i just cant figure it out!
Probely my brain is not developed inough to grab this !
So mabey you can explane those 2/3 questions i have to help mi out of this missery!
Thank you for your time Aled
    Dutch

    Aled11-07-2011 10:43 AM

Where do you get the option to "View in mobile" and to choose between "mobile" and "classic".

Within Google Maps you can create a map to which you save specific locations. This can be private or shared with the public. A public map has been created for Tel Cities.

    dutchstreetdog11-07-2011 11:07 AM

    Hello
    Ok thank you
    Well i have the option.
    http://telnic.com/community-map-cities.html
View in Mobile/Cassic. Unther the login And abovd the 2011-privacy on my iPhone at the bottom of your page!
And When you check "view telcities in a larger map" is it leaving the site, and opening Google maps WHIT all directorys on it ?!

    Aled11-07-2011 11:48 AM

I can't see any of that on my mobile I'm afraid, so it could be options that your handset is giving you?

Yes, it opens Google Maps with all of the directories on it.

    dutchstreetdog11-07-2011 12:31 PM

    Here it is
    Incuded the eternal spinning wheel
It looks defenetly on your site!
    https://2img.net/h/i773.photobucket.com/albums/y...aag/foto-2.png

    Aled11-07-2011 12:56 PM

that section is just loaded from Google Maps, so we can't control it I'm afraid.

    dutchstreetdog11-07-2011 03:50 PM

thank you for your time and respons aled!
Ok its all clear for mi
But i must say, i think its a messy messy thing on there,
that you woudnt expect on the website from such a profesional company as telnic.
I am shure hundreds and hundreds of people vissit your site on a mobile, and facing the same problems!
My friend is sitting next to mi with his iphone, on his phone its loading but stays messy, and not working fine
As long as i remember it never worked properly
if you dont offer a mobile version from your site, why would you put this thing on that have mobile/desktop version!
Well in other words its not my favorit fuethere on your site!
Thank you telnic, thank you aled for the always super support that you dont find on other site's
    I REST MY CASE!

    Aled11-09-2011 09:39 AM

You make a good point, Dutch. The Telmaps link has now been removed from the community landing page on Telnic.org, so there are no longer any direct links to these maps.

The actual pages (http://telnic.org/community-map.html and http://telnic.org/community-map-cities.html) still exist should anyone be linking directly to them from anywhere, and the maps also still exist on Google Maps.

    Thanks,
    Aled

    dutchstreetdog11-09-2011 10:26 AM
