Quota Exceeded for What?? Has anyone experienced the Error(s) given below. All happenning at name.com. 1) Today I was trying to create CTH accts at name.com, many attempt were failed giving error message to indicate the username is taken (which is NOT in fact), But after fe minutes break I could create CTH acct with the same username rejected previousely. 2) Then when I tried to delete a dormant CTH acct I get the following ERROR. Error: Unexpected Error - You Exceeded Your Quota; Please Try Again In 393 Seconds (i.e., 2012-05-11 06:52:27 GMT) Are these some kind of THROTTLING? As far as I know throttling can not affect when creating/deleting CTH accounts?? Can this happen? Any thought would be appreciated. ++++ |

Well, the message Error: Unexpected Error - You Exceeded Your Quota; Please Try Again In 393 Seconds (i.e., 2012-05-11 06:52:27 GMT) did not do any harm, because after about 60-120 seconds I could do what I wanted. But why these Random Error Messages? Are they coming from Telnic? Or from Registrars? We need to find out answers for these. Totally :confused::confused::confused: |
if creating an account makes an api call (which I believe it does but would need to check the documentation to be absolutely sure), then its still subject to the throttling. It appears virtually all soap requests contribute to your 'request count' and subsequent throttling. I totally agree though that certain requests like account creation shouldn't be subjected to the same limits. |

CTH to CTH transfer getting blocked @Telnic When I tried to transfer tel domain from one CTH account to aanother CTH account (newly created) I gett Following errors visible on the "CTH Account Management" control panel of Name.com. I had this about 6 hours ago : Error: (mydomain.tel) Command Failed - Import Data Just now again aftter about 5-6 hors I get: Error: (mydomain.tel) Command Failed - Export Data Is this also related to throttling? Whatever the case, how would one transfer a domain from one CTH to another? Thank you in advance. |
TelCP, this is a Name.com process on their site. I admit that it will be using backend commands to Telnic, but if they are having issues with those we'd need to know what they were. As such you need to raise any issues with their transfer process directly with Name.com. |

name.com said they would investigate the intermittent errors occurred while creating CTH account at their control panel. Also offered their help in transferring data from one CTH acct to another CTH account within the same User Account. That's all at the moment. |
