Labels and links Is it possible to change the construction of labels from Quote: to Quote: It's not useful to have to strings in two languages, but one string will be better. |
Buzz, That is a good idea from the point of view of improving the SEO of DotTels (assuming of course that "name of Label" more accurately describes the function of the target URL than "name of Link"). I think a disadvantage though would be that it goes against the standard approach that has already been implemented on thousands of DotTels of every contact item having a non-clickable label followed on the line underneath by clickable data. I did in fact post a suggestion yesterday of a way of improving the "Web" labelling (in the same way that the "Go To" labelling has been improved in the latest release) - details at http://telnic.org/forum/showthread.php?p=2085 Mike Seaton |
Hello. Could you tel us, what you are trying to do? What your intention is? And then, we could go from there. We might be able to find a better solution, if we know about the goal, and about what your are trying to achieve. That way, you would be sharing your idea and thoughts with us. But this way, you only postetd two bits of code, and keept your thought and have quasi a "secret", and are only asking us, if the code will work. - A plain technical question. I am not sure, if your question is something about, if the visitor should get directed to a subdomain directly, etc., etc. Tell us, what you want the vistor to see, or how you would like to give a other user experience, and a other user feeling to the visitor. It's much more interesting, than just looking at two bits of code..., which not everybody will understand... . Quote:

mactel, I'm talking about possibility to add a custom text on the LINKS to subdomains. Not like now: name of link is equal to the name of subdomain. |
. Hi and thanks. I am trying to imagine, how it works, and how it would look like, and how the experience and feeling would be. If we could see quasi a prototype, that would help. . Or a screenshot, of a prototype. . |
