    renew without restore?

On my directi / reseller club domain management for names that have already dropped there is only the option of restoring the name. What if the customer doesn't care about having the information restored and only wants to renew the name? Is it possible to do anything with a dropped .tel name in this limbo period? I've not had to deal with this yet, and never with other TLD.

Dotteler, as I understand, in this case, "restore" is a synonym to "renew", so the term may refer to ownership, not to data restoration. When a domain drops and is in this in-limbo period, the current owner only can restore it for another year, sometimes for a premium fee. If you are not planning to renew, you don't need to do anything, just wait for it to drop. If you want to renew, contact Directi to make sure they will also restore the data when the domain is renewed.
If you want, also drop us a note with your domain name, so we can take a look at the status and reconfirm your options.

Even though my control panel shows the 'renew' option ($83.00) is still available until may 27, the directi rep says both options are not available and that I have to wait for them to drop in a few days.
I'll just have to wait for the drop to happen.
