New way of payment I discovered that next year will be a new way to get payment online or mobile, this will be good for business and customer, easy and give confidence to customer to pay. Also is good for developer, I would like to see some .tel developer with new app or tool to able this payment added on .tel sites. Just look at: http://v.me is visa company. V.interesting ! Mike Seaton |
V.me sold for $450K last week. Enrolled in beta program. Mark |
were single letter .me's recently auctioned off? i must of missed that one.... |
A Payment system without leaving your .tel, would be amazing. Am sure Mr Kolb will explore it's capabilities. |
Single letter .ME are available for big bucks only through special proposals to the registry. Same with .CO. Mark |
Thought it was meet.me which sold for 450k Was under the impression that v.me was acquired under the http://www.domain.me/development-program |

So far, only an indirect interface can be created as v.me, like Paypal, both require scripting on the domain and we can't do that with .Tel. This is another case for Telnic stepping in and allowing secure scripting for special services. They did that with AdSense so no reason why they can't do that for these services. The alternative is a hybrid link to an external .com domain where API key or credentials are maintained through OpenAuth. Interesting approach here would be to store an encrypted API key within your .tel for use by the external app. Will explore further. There is time as V.me doesn't go live until a yet-unknown day in 2012. Telnic, what are the possibilities of extending script support? Mark |

Having a payment option integral with every .tel by adding script support for this would be an unbellievable extra USP for all .tels. It doesn't take much imagination to see the potential. |

Sorry, you are correct - got confused with meet.me as lots of dot ME action lately. V.ME was acquired in the summer. BTW, D.ME goes to delicious.com Mark |
Right now I believe the 2 most important things that telnic should allow to .tel owners are: call facility (to make calls directories) and payment facility through online and mobile, is very tricky to have data, you could go to prision due data protection, and all hazard involved data. Thing like V.me is great so we need that facility instead of forward .tel to another .tel. The downside of V.me for now if that I believe or I am not too sure is that V.me will be available first in USA before move else where. By the way in the book that I wrote: supercyberheroes invented a technology called 'PDQ internet' it's better and easier than V.me. 70% of the book have aready been translated into english both spanish and english are not in the matket yet. Once we have payment facility added on our .tel sites, I will press the green button to build up 5 .tel domains, I am 100% sure it's super good idea, no one have done it yet, but of course everyone can copy those 5 domains, the only thing you need is some geo domains, (so I do not mind people copy my idea because I can no buy thousands of geo domains) trust me guys is very, very good idea, I can not wait for that payment facility. With all this talk about integrating payment options with .tel, surely it's time for the return of The Roadmap, which disappeared on 1 July 2011 ? If you want an "ecosystem" of developers etc. to continue to exist around any product you need to let people know what's happening and when ! Mike Seaton |

Good news for Mark, bad news for us in the rest of the world. I wrote to v.me and asked them where exactly they will begins next year, this is their answer: Visa has announced that we are first introducing V.me by Visa in the U.S. and Canada. At this time, businesses and developers who want to offer V.me as a payment method must be operating in the United States and have an active merchant account with a US or Canadian acquiring bank. We are planning to introduce consumer enrollment and online payments as well as online tools for businesses in the U.S. and Canada in 2012. We are not able to share specific timing for V.me offerings in other geographies at this time. We encourage you to check back at www.v.me/business periodically for the latest information on V.me by Visa. -the V.me Team Regards http://supercyberheroes.tel http://businessdirect.tel |

Re Payment facility in TEL Seem to recall article "TelChina and China Mobile to Build Mobile Payment Solution With .tel" . Are we speaking about two different things here? |
Quote:
Well, I pay all my fly tickets, hotels and most products online, all sites asks for my credit card details and not all sites use paypal (in paypal you can transfer or send money, at v.me you don't) when you buy online you got best options to pay without give all your details than paypal (paypal is good, I got an account with them anyway) Regards http://supercyberheroes.tel http://businessdirect.tel |
