Because, the more affiliate links you are able to get attention for, the more revenue you can get. This means, that you have to spread the links over multiple sites. Having only about 10 links per gaming category, might be enough, instead of cluttering up one website with a 100 links. A user searching only for links, might be more than happy, to land on a .Tel site. I understand, that the affiliate partner provides links and adverts for websites, respectively mobile websites. The promising niche market, is mobile gambling. Bingo!... No other type of potential affiliate partner has the biggest advantage for mobile affiliate revenue, than holders of Dot Tel domains. Why?: Because a mobile gamer, will be on his mobile phone, when looking for gambling sites. He will less likely search on his laptop or PC, for a mobile gambling site. And even, if he does: Once more, the holders of Dot Tel domains can offer affiliate links, for the potential online gambler, or mobile gambler. That is about, from 2007 till 2010. It is only math: Dot Tel's are cheap, for what you get, and can do with them, and placing affiliate links on mobile sites, becomes a no-brainer, with Dot Tel domains. And the more domains you have for your affiliate marketing, the more revenue, you can make. For an affiliate partner, it would be most economic and profitable, only with Dot Tel domains, IMO. Furthermore, mobile gaming sites are already mobile friendly sites, so you won't have any problems with your web links, from your .Tel domain, placing affiliate links. I believe, that revenue from mobile gambling affiliate programs, are higher, than withing any other business category (hotels, traveling, shopping at amazon, etc.). Bigger phone displays started opening business opportunities for e-businesses, offering services for people on the go. And as these phones are getting more and more attractive and with more storage capacity, etc., surfing on a mobile phone will become the big thing, and the big biz of tomorrow. Most of todays mobile phone owners do not surf web sites from their mobile phone. But just wait, until some of these "passive" owners do... You probably would like have a piece of the action, when action takes place. Jump on the band wagon, now, before it might be (too) late. I just wonder, how much it would cost me, too have my own mobile gambling website... However, you may think, that the less competitors you have, the more profits you can make. But that is not necessarily the case, as profits also depend on the number of paying customers. The number of competitors, as well as the number of paying customers will both increase, at the same time. However, it is often easier, if your website is already established, since two or three years. Mobile gaming?: Time to provide a mobile gaming site in the short or mid term, if this sort of business might apply to your interests. There are times for short term planning, and there are times for long term planing. Build sites in the short term, and sell sites, in the long term. There may be a way, how you want to combine the coming trend for mobile surfing and gaming and gambling, with your existing and future .Tel domains. .Tel's are basically a landing page, but you can place affiliate links on them, or premium rate phone numbers, and make some tidy earnings. Google Mobile, will be anyway showing more Dot Tel links, than Google for PC's and laptops.
