    shorten service

    Hi Aled,

    bitly allow us to use our domain for shortening. In order words, instead of reading bit.ly/dottelnews you read newser.com/dottelnews

    Is it possible to to use a .tel site for such services?

    for example: bit.ly/dottenews ----------> newser.tel/dottelnews

    With bitly, you just need to change your DNS address for .com, .net etc..

    Hi tel4rent,

    because of the way .tel stores the information in the DNS you cannot repoint the nameservers, which is what it looks like is needed for this, so I'm afraid that if that is the case, then no, you won't be able to use your .tel for this.

    Please remember that .tel is unique in it's structure. it isn't like com, net etc. This brings huge benefits but also means that you cannot change some of the DNS records.

    Thanks Aled.
