Well the video that I saw in youtube was to add alias, so I still do not know how to add user, my .tel hub is http://ideal.tel so open and email account with ideal.tel was easy but then when I look for member account to add more user there is no way to find it, actually I got minicab@ideal.tel but I cannot add more like: support@ideal.tel or movie@ideal.tel etc. if I want see member account again I have to start again all the process from beginning

Do you how to add them?, otherwise I can add only 7 due that CTH support only 7 in set up email

supercyberheroes, you don't specify the actual mailbox in your .tel control panel. You just set the forwarding for any mail sent to @ideal.tel. It is within your mail client that you should then be able to filter the mail received into separate mailboxes.

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)10-31-2012 01:12 PM

@Supercyberheroes, why not use www.TELidentity.com as it sets up emails for you automatically and per subdomain? Then you can participate in leasing email identities for your and other owners domains.

Hi Aled I am using hotmail, to set up the email I use step 6 on telnic tips hotmail that says:

    Windows Live

Add your .tel to Windows Live.
Sign up for a Windows Live account or log in if you are returning user.
Enter the domain you want to add as a Custom Domain.
    Accept the Terms and Conditions.
You will be presented with the MX record for your email service.
Setup .tel to point to Windows Live server.
On the Domain Settings page, get the details of the MX record that you need to set up. This is tied specifically to your domain name rather than being a generic address.
Copy the MX server name into your .tel Settings in the control panel.
Return to the Windows Live process and hit Refresh to validate the changes.
    Create member account(s).
In the Member Accounts area, click Add+ to create a new member.
Fill in the form with the requested data (may not work on browsers other than Internet Explorer).
    Activate your mail account.
Sign up for the Windows Live Mail system by filling in the form.
Sign in again entering the captcha when prompted.

Everything was find I already had 3 emails set up with hotmail like this one: hector@businessdirect.telsocial@videobar.tel andminicab@ideal.tel you see only add more user when you are seting up the email, but when you finished to set up an email with hotmail, is impossible to see again the: Member Accounts area, click Add+ to create a new member.

I hate to say this, but because it is so complicated to set up emails on .TEL, TELNIC should take the initiative and provide automated, out of the box email forwarding using its own service. It is not difficult to set up and not costly. We did this for Telvision and TELidentity for less than $100 per year. This should be a function that is built in to both pro .TEL and TELNAMES but still eludes this TLD after almost 4 years. All you need is a forwarder address as the MX record. If you want to use TELidentity it is "forwarder.telmasters.com.".

    Mark

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)10-31-2012 03:11 PM

In fact, look at the new TELNAMES pages, I cant find one that uses email @ their own domain name, but instead are often using unprofessional hotmail, gmail aol addresses. What does that say about .TEL emails?

    Mark

    Mark Kolb (Kprobe)10-31-2012 03:16 PM

Aled, here's an offer to TELNAMES customers. Lease an identity from the pool (not all my domains) at TELidentity.com and they can use my forwarding for free to set up emails on their new .tel domains.

Supercyberheroes, is it just the three email accounts you have at Hotmail? From this help page it seems that they have a maximum of 4 accounts that they permit - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/h...counts-mail-ui

Not it a forwarding email I done it in the past, its not what I looking for, hotmail says and read it too at teltak.org that: with hotmail we can add up to 500 free user account with the same domain, and 10 free with gmail, so I have done both of them, but I want to open hotmail account with my .tel domain hub which is http://ideal.tel, so I want to open accounts for social@ideal.tel(facebook, twitter issue) support@ideal.telme@ideal.tel feedback@ideal.tel etc, etc I know how to set up the first one, then its impossible so find the way to open other account with the same domain, at less I cannot find it, I have been 3 days checking, google and youtube to find an answer but not possible, I believe its not telnic fault, its hotmail that does not make it easy, and gmail is even more difficult.

As a feedback telnic should listen what Mark says about it:

Hi Mark as I said before my supercyberheroes project is killing me a lot time, I cannot wait to finish it, but I am doing my home work too, I thought you give us 1 account free per domain, and the rest not, for ideal.tel I will need more than 1 account all just for me,
during this week I made a list to see which domains I will offer for telidentity, and I already got another list from companies that does not use professional emails, companies between 3 to 10 employees that use email like this companyname@hotmail.com so they are on my list to be contacted and offer telidentity but I must finish supercyberheroes first, but also I went fast into my telmasters account to see how much I have to pay for all your tool, I prefer to do it instead of give donation, but I could not see the full price, as I said I checked fast, may be there I will check another day.

I am working in a directory project that not one have done it before at least with .tel domains, if it works I can make good money, after I make it public any one can copy my idea that is why is important the button call now, in fact are 3 different projects that is why I asking before you and telcp to make a tool: a form to feel all the detail, like address, facebook, etc, etc and possible way to pay now and per subscription link to paypal, bank or other.

    Kind regards

You can't set up more than one account at hotmail for one .tel.

You have to set up only one account with up to 500 e-mail addresses.

If you ask such questions at TelTalk.org, you don't need to waste 3 days for searching.

Ok, that's an important one to fill out!
Perhaps that could also be used as the default for (receiving automatically) any email directed to their .tel domain. Ideally there would be a field saying...

"And what email would you like to be known as regarding your .tel?"

Auto-forwarding such as mark is suggesting

    Blunderer11-02-2012 01:39 PM

As the archetypal man in the street, I gave up trying to work out how to set up the email system on .tel, years ago. In fact, I'm not even sure what result, effect or benefit it should, or would be - such is the unfriendliness of the user instructions. I had hoped it would be better with Telnames - it having an email icon, but no, I still don't know how to use it.

I get my email service from British Telecom (BT), and was speaking to one of their Tech Support guys, and read out the instructions from my Telpages site. He couldn't help me.

I think it would be helpful if the various instructions included some worked examples, so that geniuses like me know what it is we should be looking for - I'm reasonably competent at matching things, and I suspect that I'm not alone, in fact that seems to be the case - what is an MX Record? What does one look like? And what is this all about:

"To setup email for xxxxxxx.tel, specify the host name of the mail server(s) and set the order in which the servers will be used (lowest first).
    Order Server host name"

My man at BT couldn't point me in the right direction.

Setting up an email forwarder is easy with Domain Monster, and used to be with Name.com - until they gave themselves a facelift and started requiring me to copy some sort of priority list into each domain name account.

For a domain designed to support communication - for the man in the street - it's all very complicated.

    Welcome, supercyberheroes!

Your account at Microsoft will be info@ideal.tel.

Please login and open your domain ideal.tel at the Live Admin Center and create as many account names as you want.

That will be the e-mail addresses you choose (up to 500 pieces), e. g.:

    Blunderer11-03-2012 01:49 PM

For clarification, does applying your .tel domain name to a Google or Hotmail account in the manner described enable both the sending and receiving of mail under that name, or just the receipt of mail - as with the facility supplied by registrars?

    dottel.net11-03-2012 05:01 PM

you can actually send using your designated email too - that's the whole beauty of it.
With hotmail, the downside is if you use several emails on one account they often will say something along the lines of abc@def.telas primaryaccountname@whatever.tel
I haven't had this problem when using google though. And it's only when you run multiple emails from one primary account
