Many comments have been provided, mostly by registrants and developers. But some came also from organizations:
1. Lori Schulman, Senior Director Internet Policy at the International Trademark Association (inta.org):

2. Steven J. Metalitz, Partner at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP (msk.com) on behalf of Coalition for Online Accountability (COA / onlineaccountability.net):

These organizations file their comments always in the last minutes before closure of the phase for public comments to avoid any reactions by others on their controversial opinions, because most people wouldn't agree with their statements.

The problem is that Telnic has never put any development effort into their products such as Telpages.
Subsequently this garbage arise.

It's very hard to imagine that ICANN will renew the agreement with Telnic after all the bad comments with many complaints about the severe situation at Telnic.
Renewing the agreement with Telnic would mean the final death of .tel!

After so many years of inactivity by Telnic, I'm afraid that any change comes too late.
Probably .tel is lost in every case.

Might be delayed because of the fairly large organizational change at ICANN that happened this week. But still, disappointing it's not out yet.

There is a "Feedback" link at the bottom right of https://www.icann.org/public-comments/tel-renewal-2016-08-04-en
I have just filled this in to chase up the now 10 Days Overdue "Staff Report" on Telnic's application to run the .Tel Registry for a further 10 Years.
Will ICANN ignore the majority of TELNIC MUST GO NOW comments made at https://forum.icann.org/lists/comments-tel-renewal-04aug16 ?
I really hope not as IMO that will be the end of the .Tel extension !
http://MikeSeaton.tel
PS. It might be worthwhile some other forum members filling out the ICANN "Feedback" form as well.

The feedback form is more for addressing general suggestions for website improvements.
To get information about the current processing status, I think that it's better to contact this person directly:

@Expert - If you hold the cursor arrow over the triangle containing an exclamation mark (labelled "Pages under review") in the top left corner of page https://www.icann.org/public-comments/tel-renewal-2016-08-04-en you get the following message displayed in a popup window:
As a result of the IANA Stewardship Transition you may find some site content that is out of date. Please use the "Feedback" button in the bottom right corner of the page if you have questions or discover content that needs updating.
Apart from the Feedback form I completed, I also phoned Krista Papac at ICANN to try and find out when the .Tel Registry Staff Report, scheduled for 27 September, is actually going to be published.
Unfortunately the extension just goes to voicemail, but i did go through things with the ICANN Help Desk and they promised to pass the concerns over late publication onto the relevant section within ICANN.
Not sure if anything will come of this - maybe ICANN staff have bigger fish to fry with the IANA Stewardship Transition ?

Very good.
I expect we will see an update from ICANN on this; although ICANN has more important things to work on.

Some highlights of the report:
- As a next step, ICANN intends to consider the renewal proposal taking into account the comments added to the forum. Following the completion of the public comment process, the proposed renewal of the .TEL Registry Agreement will be considered by ICANN's Board of Directors.
- It should be noted that the proposed renewal of the .TEL Registry Agreement is the subject of this public comment period and the suggestions on how Telnic Limited should manage the .TEL registry is outside of this scope. ICANN does not prescribe or proscribe Registry Operators’ business models. The terms of the .TEL Registry Agreement set forth the contractual obligations that must be fulfilled by Telnic Limited in its operation of the .TEL registry. ICANN encourages those commenters that desire to see changes in the business model of the .TEL registry to contact Telnic Limited to express these matters.
- ICANN notes that numerous comments expressed concerns regarding Telnic Limited’s business model. As discussed above, ICANN does not prescribe or proscribe Registry Operators’ business models.
- Absent countervailing reasons, there is little public benefit, and some significant potential for disruption, in regular changes of a registry operator. In addition, a significant chance of losing the right to operate the registry after a short period creates adverse incentives to favor short-term gain over long term investment. On the other hand, the community, acting through ICANN, must have the ability to replace a registry operator that is not adequately serving the community in the operation of a registry.
- Telnic Limited was found to be in substantial compliance with its contractual requirements.
- With regards to the comments on Telnic Limited’s financial stability, ICANN also notes that Telnic Limited has operated the .TEL registry for over 10 years and, to ICANN’s knowledge, has not experienced financial or other operational impediments that that have caused a failure of registry operations or security and stability concerns.
- Next Steps: Following the completion of the public comment process, the proposed renewal of the .TEL Registry Agreement will be considered by ICANN's Board of Directors.

Surprise!
Breaches of contract, mismanagement, financial difficulties and a clear statement from the community against it are no grounds for refusing the renewal of the .TEL Registry Agreement?

As by me, that that they look blind and deaf, it is a very natural thing: everyone there thinks what is better for them and for their personal pockets, and not for TEL gTDL.Telnic Limited was found to be in substantial compliance with its contractual requirements.
