The domain ending .tel is one of the best options on the internet. Most people are using smartphones to search the internet, right? What is more logical than having a domain name ending with .tel? .tel has a potential of at least one billion registered domains, because every smartphone user could need one in the future!

.tel is a perfect short extension for telephone.

I agree Tel is going to do well. There are hundreds of companies across the world with name that includes tel. so the word is used extensively in industry.
Up to us to be creative. A whole extension is available. That is powerful. But it will not be available for long. People will go after it. However if we just buy to play with it then we shall lose.
Telnic with the subdomains - it is cute - but has anybody made a real business out of it after eight years? maybe it is an expensive hobby.
Now that it is open we can create more modern looking solutions. It will cost a bit but the selling price will be more than tel with 3 million subdomains, (except of course, if the template can be enriched significantly and Shahid seems to be on the right track).
