.tel would require massive effort to become famous.

The competition is very big and I see no party who is interested in the success of .tel (not now and not in the future).
Even the sponsoring operator has no interest in .tel at all.

even people working for registra(domain.com, onlinenic,, etc,etc) didn't know .tel lifted restriction.

this part is bit different from my point of view.
.tel is not gNew tld(.tel has fixed renewal fee you don't have to worry about)
people are getting tired of gNew tld( my .flowers costs more than $100 to renew!!)

Yes, Sedo MLS is a good way to get any domain listed at multiple registrars (with instant ordering and payment).

Here is an example - http://Coins.tel that I have listed at Sedo at $9888 USD (unfortunately Sedo Parking for .Tels is still awaiting them to fix - there is a support ticket in I submitted).

Even I'm not longer invested in .tel, I'm very curious about the future of it.

Nowadays, people are willing to pay big money for NN.tel and LL.tel.

I try to take a realistic view at .tel:

All previous initiatives for .tel have failed.
.tel is now a normal gTLD like all the nTLDs.
It has the same chances like any other nTLD.
A success will be hard to accomplish, but not impossible.

Let's see what kind of surprises are still possible.
I will provide this central forum as base for discussions during the next years.

It seems, that Russian TEL-forum www.forumdottel.ru was closed recently by it's owner.

He was an enthusiastic of TEL and stopped to be (like many others) after subfolders were removed by Telnames.

As for success, even Telnames boss Mr. Kash do not believe in it, as he had dropped his Amber.tel, which he posessed from Landrush times.
