The complete comment is not available, because it was censored by Telnic due to displeasing content. So from what I gather, Telnic owns Telnames.com and is now acting as a reseller to sell this unique template? But Telnic is not offering it to other registrars/resellers?
If this is true, I am really dissappointed with Telnic and will abandon all my investments.

Now you know the reason why Telnic always has refused speaking about Telnames.

Re: Voice from a Telnic customer
Telnic are trying to force registrars to develop templates for their control panel. Telnames won't deliver their template to them, because Telnames want to generate their own revenues with it.
In addition this way Telnic cut down their costs, because they develop only one control panel with only one template at Telnames.
Furthermore Telnames have a huge advantage in competition as long the registrars struggle with the templates out of date.

Re: Voice from a Telnic customer
Correct !So from what I gather, Telnic owns Telnames.com and is now acting as a reseller to sell this unique template? But Telnic is not offering it to other registrars/resellers?
Many of us hope the situation will change and that Telnic registrars will be allowed to offer the Telnames http://YourBusiness.tel template, but the summary above describes how things currently are.
That's not a unique reaction - many others feel the same and have abandoned or reduced their investment in the .tel project !If this is true, I am really dissappointed with Telnic and will abandon all my investments.
FWIW I believe Telnames really are onto something with their single-page template (promo example http://Ben.tel) where you can upload directly from the Telnames Control Panel your choice of video, image gallery, background image and discount coupon.
Besides the essential worldwide marketing (which Telnames appear to be starting now), the missing ingredient is to find a financially attractive mechanism for Telnic .tel owners either to transfer their domains to Telnames or to have the Telnames template at their current registrar.
Sort this out and Telnames are onto a real winner, but as with everything on the internet "Time Is Of The Essence", particularly with 1000+ new gTLDs about to be launched which will soak up software developers time and domain investors money.
The future of the .tel project is now in Telnames hands - let's hope they take the necessary action now !

My opinion. 15 £ for a single page not worth it. There is a lot of similar free services on Internet and who wants a domain can do a single page with any other domain at the cost of 5-10 €.

Telnamses doesn't look like a winner with less than twenty daily new domains registered (according to dottel.net).
I'm intrigued by some of the future new domains. In particular the new domain .web could replace the .tel as personal contact site.

Telnic 260.000 .tels registered, Telnames 1.700.
.tel may have a future if Telnic would add the Telnames template to its 8 templates and make it available to all users at a reasonable price.

If Telnic would do it, finally we would have a reason starting to develop our websites. Great design, wallpapers, subfolders. That's all we need.silvano wrote:Telnic 260.000 .tels registered, Telnames 1.700.

Re: Voice from a Telnic customer
Looking at the percentages, of the 177 Tel's reg'd yesterday, 44 were TelNames, 12 IDN's from China, so Telnames is getting about 25-30% of daily regs during the week. Not bad statistically.
Not only that to look at. Check Telpages for recently added domains and you will see that most Telnames domains are populated.
