Re: Telnames Mobile Website Builder
Yes, this overview shows exactly .tel isn't ready to enter the market yet.
But it points out very clearly what Telnic and Telnames have to realize for .tel to take off.
But until then nothing will change.
Take a look at the current registration numbers: The Mobile Website Builder from Telnames lives a shadowy existence like everything else what has been created by Telnic until today, because important developments are missing and in addition nobody knows about these products.

http://www.destinationcrm.com/Articles/CRM-News/Daily-News/Telnames-Rolls-Out-Mobile-Site-Building-App---86147.aspxSometimes, small businesses cannot really afford to have a one on one with these digital communication companies. Fortunately, there are companies like Telnames, Mobivity, and MobAff that let their clients use the marketing tools directly online on their own dashboards. That makes things extremely easy for everyone. In the giant industry that is mobile marketing, those companies can be considered to be the “indie” players in the game. They might not have the reach of large companies such as AKQA or iCrossing, but they help out small and medium-sized businesses.
Users who are too busy to type can also provide the information through Siri, Apple's voice-enabled assistant.
"What we've found is small business owners do not want to spend time playing with different fonts and features," Asseily maintains. "What's more important is having their contact information out so that people can easily find them."
Telnames' mobile sites, adds Asseily, do no not include advertising space except for the business's own offer since "you would not put ads on your company's homepage."

Re: Telnames Mobile Website Builder
The new app is a nice step forward.
The next step for Telnames should be thinking about how they can fight against declining registration numbers for the TLD .tel.
As it is visible from the .tel registrations this week people don't start noticing the Mobile Website Builder.

It is interesting, how they had found that? They made some researches about preferences of small business owners, or they simply decided that it should be so because it is "obvious'?"What we've found is small business owners do not want to spend time

You shouldn't question those kinds of statements.maxi wrote:It is interesting, how they had found that? In the business world every company is using such phrases to promote their product.
I won't blame Telnames for such reference (even it doesn't exist), because every salesman speaks like this.

Re: Telnames Mobile Website Builder
http://mobilebetas.com/mobile-betas/creating-mobile-sites-for-small-businesses-is-now-as-simple-as-buying-an-iphone-app/
Mobile app stores and in-app purchasing functionality have revolutionized the video game industry by shrinking content into tiny doses and making their purchase and consumption effortless. Today, UK-based company Telnames announced it has taken that idea and applied it to mobile website design. With a mobile application, small businesses can buy domain names and build a mobile website in a matter of minutes without having to worry about registrars and hosting agreements. It might sound crazy at first, but it's kind of brilliant.

I have my doubts about that as long Telnic don't want to spend more than $100 yearly for marketing.Expert wrote:It's the same with the following slogan as headline:Sunrise wrote:You shouldn't question those kinds of statements.maxi wrote:It is interesting, how they had found that? If they are convinced about the potential of their product, why they don't spend $1 million for marketing?
By selling 1 million more domains, they would earn 10 times more than the the costs for marketing.
Or are they satisfied with 250,000 sold domains?

That is the thing Telnic resist to learn.Toptel wrote:If they are convinced about the potential of their product, why they don't spend $1 million for marketing?

They could have seen this already 2009, but until now Telnic/Telnames hope somebody else will make the marketing for them.
Telnic/Telnames don't understand that big marketing campaigns lead to slowly and proportional increasing customer volume while small marketing campaigns lead to nothing.
What do they think how GoDaddy, the TLD .co, Apple, Samsung, Amazon, Ebay and many other examples could grow? Perhaps with a local radio spot in Bristol?

Re: Telnames Mobile Website Builder
Okay, Telnames has a great app now.
When we will see some serious marketing for it, so total registration numbers for .tel will stop declining?
And with marketing I mean more than just a few tweets on Twitter and one blog entry:
http://blog.telnames.com/thumbs-up-to-our-mobile-app/
It's nice to have a new video and an infographic, but how Telnames would like to make people noticing them?

In the UK, smartphone penetration is now beyond 50% and globally 1.2 billion of us regularly interact online via social media.

A telname is a great way for small businesses and individuals to create a simple mobile friendly website with contact details and brief information about the business.

Re: Telnames Mobile Website Builder
You are one the wrong path. Asseily's view is absolutely correct. In the past small business owners hired website designers to do the job for them, because they didn't want to be bothered with that. Now with Telnames everybody can create a nice website without any help and without thinking about too many details like fonts and features. That was never as easy as with Telnames, and it's a great strength of Telnames.Sunrise wrote:You shouldn't question those kinds of statements.maxi wrote:It is interesting, how they had found that?
