Developers vs Publishers (Populators) Empty Developers vs Publishers (Populators)

Post by TELcp 2013-01-25, 12:29 am

As a developer of tel tools, apps & services for .tel platform, owners of .tel domains and publisher of .tel domains we would like to make it very clear to all forum members and visitors that Developing of .tel and Publishing of .tel domains do two different tasks.

Developers create Tools, Apps and Services for the .tel Platform.

Publishers (Populators) who are either owners or users of .tel Domains create additional tel pages (folders/sub folders) and populate them with contents (records, text, ads and graphics).

    Hope this helps.

TELcp, you made a nice definition!

We also need to clarify the difference between publishers, who create multi-folder projects on Telnic TELs with subdomains, and people who have one-page Telnames TEL.

It is clear, that the later people are any publishes and make any projects, because it not a big job to place a phone number and a few contacts on those Telnames TELs.

Well, to make it short and sweet...

Only .tel platform can have Developers (3rd party).
(And of course, tel owners as Publishers).

Again, 3rd Party Developers have no access to develop .tel platform. They only provide tools, apps and services for the .tel platform.

Any Development work to the .tel platform is carried only by Telnic.

Telnames is only for publishers. There is no external developers involved in Telnames up to now.

    Cheers!

But can we use words "Developer of TEL-projects" or not?

In this way all parties will be happy: developes of Tel-plaform will be developers of third-party tools for TEL-users, and publishes who make their projects on multi-folder TELs will be developers of TEL-projects.

Well, what we said above is not a hard and fast rule for the .tel.
We just wanted to explain it in a better way for the new comers.

However, a project has to be managed by an individual or a team.
Therefore, "tel project managers"/ "tel project management" will be more appropriate.

    Any better suggestions?
Do please let the forum members know.

    Thanks.
